once upon a time i got absolutely sick of terrible (to me) vocalists while doing sound at a venue. it made me love some instrumental acts i found, like tristeza and kinski and pelican, boards of canada, stuff like that. probably part of what got me into acid/house stuff once a band died and i wanted to make music on my own.

end of the ocean played an awesome set and i'm totally digging their recording. told the three of them i chatted with after the show if they weren't already a five piece i'd be asking to join the band. told me they're actually debating adding a third guitarist... even if i'm trying to start a minimal two or three piece band with a couple friends i think i'd love that.
