I could imagine that the steroid was one of his harder/costlier builds because of the dip square cut on the top. Cutting a perfect square is hard and I'd imagine getting somebody to make the boxes for you would be expensive. I'm glad I have one haha. Devil Tail is nice when I need some easy UK82 distortion though.

I'm actually contributing something now! Umm, here is an example of triggering a Boss DSD-2 with an envelope fuzz (biloma). I left the parts where I suck and drop the mic like an idiot in there for "realism". Though I did cut out the part where I try to trigger it by talking because I sound like Spicoli if he was a cowboy that goes home to play WoW or something after rustlin' goats. Anyway, this setup can get glitchy as hell. There is bleed over into the normal delay channels which is at the beginning when the guitar isn't to loud. Really nice fuzzy, somewhat random repeats. It can get way more random, but I was purposefully trying to control it.

Signal chain is (hope it makes sense):

Code: Select all

PATH 1
Welson Jazz Primate
 |
 V
SS/BS Hawk
 |
 V
LAL Sick Pitch King direct out -> Channel B Beta Lead
LAL Sick Pitch King eff out -> MASF Biloma -> Boss DSD-2 Trigger In
----------
PATH 2
JMT Noisey Microphone -> Boss DSD-2 -> Channel A Beta Lead
The microphone mostly recorded feedback. Had it playing loops of funny quotes last night (like "hooves" and stuff).

Nice LG, lots of great textures going on. I love the Biloma, cool to hear it in this context. That guitar sounds pretty great too, nice score :joy:

Thanks man. I really need to just practice guitar instead of creating funny feedback loops haha. The more I play the Biloma though, the more I love it. It's a blast.

Thanks for the encouragement, UG! Someday, I might be happy with something I play haha.

Off to the workshop (I've got to do actual work instead of trying to fry my hearing).

When I get it back, I'll attempt a longer guitar demo.

Definitely stacks like a champ. I was running it either towards the end or in the middle. Not a Muff. It's a Fingerprint.

No pictures, since the phone is dead. Finally fixed my old bass that's been laying around for a few years, so...

Bass -> Fuzz Star -> SAD-1 -> DB/Hyperion -> Afterneath -> ppooll (heavy on munger, multitap, beauty)

It does stack like a champ. The Mini set to a light OD adds some major bite to the high end. And then throw the ghost echo and Warped Vinyl in the mix and it just fuckin screams.

this is how things look today, but it's definitely an ever-changing thing :)

Vox Delaylab / EHX Freeze / Idiotbox Mad Doctor Stutter / Montreal Assembly Count To Five / Subdecay Starlight Flanger / EHX Pitch Fork / Dr Scientist Bit Quest! / EQD Rainbow Machine / EQD Afterneath / Vox Tonelab

Tenori On for bleeps and thumps (once I remember how to use it, it's been in a box for ages)

The pedals are on music stands because I've been sitting down to play and on the stands they're in easy reach for knob-tweaking :)
