I never got around to listening to the first one, so I'm new to James Blake. I am torn. Maybe this needs headphones and a walk.

It's a bit different than the first one. I feel like this new one has more soul and the textures aren't as cold? Maybe. Iunno.

Hmm, not really digging this so far. The first half of Goblin was incredible but then it turns into a sprawling unfocused mess. This starts off as a mess and around track 5 starts to pick up. Starting to get ok but..... it just seems to float along. The production is nicer than Goblin or Bastard, but the tunes??? Where are they?

Totally agree. Like the Dels one, there's some HUGE tracks, and some really weird tunes/songs that doesn't fit with the rest of the album...

^It's really fucking good. Kinda poppy/less intricate than their early albums, but damn it still sounds great.

I'm about half way through. I'm surprised how much chill stuff there is on this record.
Feels like summer.

It's not reached Patagonian rats level for me quite yet but damn it's a great record, I've listened to it about 15 times through already haha.
Fave tracks are New Chlorine and X'ed Out and Tired, Surf Nazis and Bite are sick too
