For the record my MM 25th Anniversary was 2400.00 bucks and I love the shit out of it! I do not however get paying 10k for a bass. I will never get it either because I will never own one. I also love my Jackson 5 string that cost me 200 bucks. A bass is a bass in most cases.

I buy the basses I want, and, for some reason, the price has always been $700. So, I don't really know where I'm going with this.

That's your lucky number, and your subconcious can only justify $700 on an instrument so your concious will only play basses your subconcious can justify, you're smarter than you thought!

There's a dude on my street whose license plate says "IM COOL". Relic'd instruments remind me of him.

But the mind breaking thought is... if the bass needed a refin... wasn't it like... what is the word for what relicing is suppose to mimic again

At least BG's aren't as bad as uprights. Mine has so many cracks and scratches it looks it's 100 years of age. It also only cost me 3 grand.

I don't mind legit mojo,...but If I buy a new bass,...I want to put my own wear and tear on it,...not fake it.

The aesthetic is cool but the fact that people pay money for it is baffling.
