I was actually debating this with a friend of mine earlier today - how come we can eat intelligent animals like pigs and horses (that can both be had as pets or companions) but we can't eat dogs and cats? now of course, i do see the difference, but i love playing the devils advocate, i can't deny that. i don't think i'm going to change you bro, and i don't intend to, keep doing what you're doing :thumb:

Pigs and horses= prey animals
Dogs and cats = Predator animals
Humans = predator animals. we don't eat our own kind. To do so is instinctually considered deviant.

NICK! HALP MEH!

I'm going to recap the soundtronics to try to eliminate the hum it has for the first 20 minutes after its turned on, It has a lot of weird values for the caps. I've managed to find everything except for the cans. They are 20uf 20uf 10uf 10uf at either .475 vdc or 475 vdc they are sprague cans and I cant seem to find em anywhere

black mess wrote:Yeah, I think I felt she was too good for me - confidence issues, blablabla - and I never told her or showed her how I felt. It wasn't a love at first sight thing so when I fell for her we were already very good friends so I was also afraid of ruining our friendship, which was something I really cherished. I only poured my heart out for her when she started dating my friend, and then she told me she had felt the same for me before but things didnt go forward so she moved on. That blew my mind but only made it worse i think.

This is pretty recent so I have no idea what I'll do right now. I havent felt this heartbroken in a long long time. And apart from losing her, our friendship is obviously not the same as before. The same for my friendship with him. Really sucks.

(it also feels like my english is awful, sorry)

I know this is not going to be easy to accept, because frankly I struggle to accept it myself, but nobody is too good for you, or for me. If a girl is more attractive than you physically you still have a right to approach her and introduce yourself as a potential partner in crime. If she shrugs you off and disregards you because you're 'physically inferior', she's not right for you. That's hard to accept as well because you really want her to be perfect. But the fact of the matter is, that's a profoundly obnoxious and arrogant thing to do. You don't want that in your life. Fuck that. This is all hypothetical of course.

Now, if she has a personality that somehow you feel surpasses your own—like if she's the life of the party and you're a shy nerd (again, hypothetical)—then the only thing for you to do is show her you. If she doesn't like you for you, that's absolutely fair enough. She has a right to choose and be picky. Despite my average good looks, I'm very picky. But again, you have to show her you or else she'll never be given the choice. You never know, maybe this hypothetical bombshell only looks for quiet guys who prefer to stand in the background in a humble state of intelligence. Maybe she's sick of handsome 'jocks' who are only looking for attention.

Take comfort in knowing that you had a chance with her. Take something from that and learn to grow in confidence. Believe that you have the capacity to attract beautiful people. I'm not one to want to learn from my mistakes and things that hurt me deeply. I'd rather go through life knowing exactly what's going to go wrong, when and where, and work my way around it. But sadly life isn't like that. Sometimes you have to fall flat on your ass before you realise that standing up on your own isn't that difficult. The ironic thing is, this terrible situation you're in could give you confidence you never had.

Sorry for the delay!!! This is the first time i've been able to log on since last week. The show went great, we pulled about 120 people to Knitting Factory (which apparently is a better then usual night for them, unless its sold out). Our set went smooth, no gear issues, tones were on point, and the audience loved it. Over all a very successful show! I didn't get a chance to pick up some asian dumplings though :grumpy: BUT we did get to stop at this place where i chowed down on Duck pierogies and wild game sausages! (pheasant, wild board and elk!) The Annunaki is safe and sound, due to the stressful nature of the trip and not knowing who would be helping me load gear in and out I just brought the peavey, which still sounded killer. I'm going to try and find some pics n vids of the show and post em up.

What was awesome is I got to meet up with Jason (dazedbyday)! He's come out to two of our NYC shows, great great dude!

Now I need a nap though.....

Never thought about it that way, but I like that explanation. I always just figured that we don't eat dogs and cats because they are traditionally considered 'companion animals.'

I do want to eat shark, but I suppose that's more of a top of the food chain thing than anything.

I didn't think it got better than mashed potatoes in ravioli. Apparently I was terribly mistaken.

If you like mashed potatoes in ravioli, they also had Sweet Potato Pierogies that were killer.
