Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Rics are nice, but I'd be all over an Electric Green Amp or Matamp first. Then again, I guess it would depend on if the Ric tone is THE bass tone for me. I'm partial to Stingray/ATK-ish sounds personally, and those run MUCH cheaper.
Don't quote me on this, but according to catalogs from a few years ago, Matamp stuff runs cheaper than the US made Electric stuff.

Why does everyone point all their cabs directly at the drummers ears?
I'm sure he can hear you in that tiny room fine, I'm sure the people across the street can hear you fine.

Because its funny to watch him poo/pee his pants....?
We're trying out different ways to set stuff up for the hell of it.
Yeah, I'm definitely surprised we haven't got a noise complaint yet.
We've tried a few different set ups and no matter how you put it, you can still feel it. If ya know what I mean

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I really really dig 810's after having this one for a couple of months now... I tried the Green through the 810 and it was magical. I want another 810, I am really not into 15"s for bass right now...

brand new green amp or a 4003 that will be modded to hell?
discuss. . . . .
Green amp. If the amp was some other color then this might be a more difficult decision. But it's green, so it's not really a hard choice.

It's funny because I had the same decision to make before getting
My Mat...
Either the Mat, or a Ric 4003. I made the right choice.

moved again, haven't had access to a computer, so I've been at the space jamming more then ever.
updates:
We got a real nice mixer and 2 Klipsch PA speakers, my drummer buddy got a late 70's Blue Ludwig Vistalite kit for $700... and our other guitarist went away for 2 months for a job so we kind of moved things around until he gets back. I finally got my first pedalboard, need a couple more things to have it finished though... haha.
Check er' out!

It's a 74. Sounds wicked! If I was playing guitar in a band I'd totally want one. They rule big time.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Awesome stuff the last ten pages. Congrats on all new purchases and all that jazz.
I've finally met a girl I like. We're officially dating. I'm happy.
My Telecaster is playing nicely since its set-up and nut replacement. It cost me €50 when my tech set it up for the wrong tuning when I made it clear I wanted it in C, but whatever, I'm still happy with it. Next is a replacement neck pickup, then a new bridge and saddles, then a new bridge pickup. Then another new guitar.
