His customers would have needed to have received something to be "LAZ'd", but most of monoliths customers received nothing. They just got plain ripped off.

hahaha its all good bro, if you didn't hang out at talkbass you wouldn't have any idea. It really sucks because his cabs were awesome, I would buy the shit out of his acoustic 408 clones if I knew I'd actually get them.

Very cool. Sounds like it's got dem heavies.

Glad tour went well. And holy shit codeine syrup is just about the best thing ever. I don't give a single fuck about anything except taking naps and watching cartoons if I'm sick and have some of that shit.

Missed the post when I was quoting shit, but congrats Skip on the interest in your album. And the means justify the end imo if the electronic album gives you guys the exposure needed to shop your rock stuff.

Ryan, I've had a big muff clone he did custom and I had a tectonic shift pedal. But I haven't tried any of his cabs. The pedals were amazing, they were huge sounding faithful recreations to vintage circuits. Rack tons of low end but no fancy bells n whistles. I liked em alot. The only thing I ever wanted more out of them was a volume knob for the superfuzz side of the TS. The reason I got rid of them was because they didn't do anything I didnt all ready have covered by another smaller pedal. They took up too much room no matter how bad ass they looked.

Thanks T-rey, I really appreciate it! I am in no way saying I don't like the electronic album, actually quite the contrary I love it. The main downside for me is that I only play on one track of the recording, and so does our guitar player (well he might be on 2). I just feel kinda weird about getting big off an album I barely contributed too musically. I definitely helped in the mixing and recording stages though so it kinda balances out, but I still don't feel like a big part of it. And then once we start playing those songs out live I'm going to be playing something that all ready exist as a ableton loop, it wouldnt be very hard for them to no replace me, but phase out my position. Being in this kind of band is alot like a real job, luckily I have proven myself in multiple arenas.

Hey, Skip, congrats!

Ugh, saw Om last night. Coming to work was a terrible idea.
So fucking tired. My giveashitometer is through the floor.
So jammed out.

Ryan, if you make me a 6x12 and 3x15, I can do some r&d for you and let you know if you should turn pro. ;)

In all seriousness though, how awesome would it be not to have a day job?

Yeah dude, the monotonous parts of life can sure run interference on the awesome parts. I have a garage, but no tools or time to start any of the things I want to build.
Your future sounds bleak...and penile.

I'm routing a map of all the pawn shops in the northside of chicago and hoping that somehow someone will have one. That or maybe at least some good cab with the sunn logo on it. I'm ready to get rid of this avatar cab, I'm starting realize that the speakers are either too boomy or too shrill and never a good in between. I want something new so bad.

sunn has made some great stuff, but they also made a lot of mediocre gear and some total garbage over the years, including a of of underpowered cabs and such. the only thing the sunn name promises you is that you will be paying too much for hipster doom cred. if you happen to find a good piece of sunn gear at a decent price, then by all means go for it, but that's almost impossible to do now. avatar makes good cabs. might be easier/cheaper to get new speakers. or just put a sunn logo on it.

just kidding.

also, if you like sunn's cab designs, look into monolith speakers in portland. wade makes replica's of some of sunn's cooler classic designs and they're well built.

Codeine syrup rules. Makes being sick not so bad, and makes reading Lovecraft even more awesome. I wrote all the lyrics to the last Galaxicon album when I was crazy sick and the doc gave me a giant bottle of that stuff. Good times.

GREAT GOOGELY MOOGELY

Thats the kinda shit that makes my nipple explode with delight.

Practice #5 I think, with new drummer. Shit was damn near perfect and the minor mistakes that were there weren't him.

Got the Kramer project put together and discovered the nut was shot. so after practice I made a new one. It's a little crude but its brass and it does the job.

Went upstairs and (quietly).... (sort of)... jammed on it a bit and holy fucking shit I love this thing. I was toying with the idea of seling it once it was done but hell no, this is staying. My gibson may go on the chopping block instead. we NEED a van.

Here's a crappy pic of it from earlier-

I gotta take a better one cause that doesn't do it justice.
