Coloursound Swell, for my volume. The Wah is on the other side, Wilson Freaker. Very cool wah.

Ah, it just works more conveniently for the signal chain, there's a buffer under the board, running into the Whammy, into the Fuck, into the Volume Pedal, and having the Whammy upside down just makes everything fit a little better. I only use it for octave down sounds, have it on loan until I can pick up a Micro POG or somesuch.

Cool cool......this is all with a violin right?

how does the fuck respond to the buffer?
Does it make a difference?

I have a buffer before my whammy too and I think it is tremendously helpful, but I keep fuzz and comp pre-buffer.

Yup, any of my guitar rig stuff generally just runs OD>Delay>Amp.

Well, without the buffer, the Fuck would be receiving a much hotter signal, but the content of that signal would be missing a huge amount of frequencies and such. It's more an impedance matching unit, it puts out the 1megOhm that guitar pedals usually like, and so doesn't eviscerate my amplified sound.

This way, if the Fuck is responding to anything it's bowing dynamics, which it does excellently. I'm not entirely happy with the Whammy where it is in the chain, it seems to kill the end result a bit, but it could also be me getting used to having a beefy new bow. I'm not entirely sure I love the Octave down thing yet either. That could well be just the Whammy and it's interpretation of it, but I'll see how it pans out.

I really only realized how much the buffer does when I forgot it last week, and really hated the jam I was at, as everything sounded like icepicks.

I'm still looking forward to trying Fuzz out on the thing. Things like the Fuzz Factory may be entirely unusable to me, as I hear that responds in odd ways to volume, and I am my volume knob. The ss/bs TAFM! might be just the ticket for me though, or the McSpunkle.
