Saying the Dolls are bad is indeed controversial, so appropriate. But also, wrong.

i had an interesting thought the other day. apparently, some anti-trans and generally shitty conservative types have been putting up sticker tags with razorblades underneath so that, when you try to rip off whatever hate-filled nonsense they've put on a lamppost, it cuts your fucking hands up. like guerilla shitheadery. what i find fascinating is that fascism isn't punk, or artistic, or guerilla. it's organisational, it's bureaucratic. it trickles down from the top, from the faceless conglomerates with all the money and from the shadowy manipulators in government. but fascists and bigots (at the level of the individual) have been made to feel marginalised and have co-opted the methods and aesthetic of liberal left counter-culture (because that's what's been "cool" for the past 60 years). I spose it isn't too different from the old nazi punks and national front skinheads (ska fans! black music and culture co-opted by racists! wtf!) but its fundamentally contradictory to be punk or guerilla and be conservative.dubkitty wrote:it's time for leftist political violence to make a comeback in the USA. there's a simple solution to the Confederate statues problem, for instance: blow them all up like the Weathermen did with the Haymarket Riot police statue. don't vote them out, take them out.

But no one ever changed the church by pulling down a steeple
And you'll never change the system by bombing number ten
Systems just aren't made of bricks they're mostly made of people
You may send them into hiding, but they'll be back again
not if you kill them, they won't.You may send them into hiding, but they'll be back again

How does one expect to have culture if rogue domestic terrorists are encouraged to reduce everything offensive to rubble?dubkitty wrote:also: America doesn't have a culture; it has an entertainment industry.
