On another (free shreddin') track entirely, here's a recent-ish field recording I made of Chris Corsano + Bill Nace:

Such excellent stuff on the last couple pages.
I'm sure I've probably posted some of this before, but it's definitely worth another listen:

He's probably my favorite vibraphonist.
Also, take a listen to this:

Pretty nice line-up, I think it's:
(obviously) Raphe Malik - trumpet
Sabir Mateen - sax
Dennis Warren - drums
not sure who's on the bass

I don't know this album. Sounds a bit more poppy than most of Pharoah's spiritual jazz.

Started to discover Pharaoh Sanders just a few months ago - following my "Alice Coltrane phase" - so i can't compare this album to others for lack of knowledge.
Anyway i like this track it even if it's more "poppy"!

Pharoah Sanders is like sex or pizza, even when "bad", it's all just really good.
Probably my fave (although, it's extremely difficult to choose only one):

as cool as the 70's stuff is, when I want Pharoah, I seem to always go to either late Trane - Meditations or Live At The Village Vanguard Again! - or something like Ask The Ages.
or, you know, this -
