i imagine a vibrating string, or a sine wave, with peaks and valleys above/below/beyond, and that is the holy. then i can imagine a swirling vortex around said string/wave for some interesting fuzzes. or more than one string/wave intertwining and making for a thicker richer denser etc. fuzz. for me that's how i catalog in my mind how a fuzz sounds, by how much action there is from regular non fuzz stasis.

The best ones are the ones that sound like a sword. A huge scimitar kinda thing, wielded by a far fatter and more muscular me. Maybe with browner skin.
I also like the ones that sound like substances heated up, like hot sand on the beach or cooking glue.

Fuzz looks a little differently in my mind these days. Fuzz looks like sex with the girl/person you love the most. The kind where you never want the smell to leave your sheets, and the left-over pheromones in the air make you feel at ease for as long as they're there. So is it with fuzz; the stagnant transistor emissions hang heavily in the room's atmosphere, as the box whose button you just crushed smiles up at you approvingly, knowing damn well it was good for you, too. Fuzz is a hot dog for my soul.

Usually the ocean or elephants. I play with an octave down most of the time, and even when i dont, my rig is bass heavy, so i always picture these massive forces.
Also, sex. I relate so much of my tone and style to fucking. I feel like sex when i jam for long enough. Its awesome.

Like many have said, depends on the fuzz!
Monoliths/spaceships (for huge sustained chords and drones)
Dogs (for smooth "warm" fuzzes, like when you strum softly through a fuzz pedal)

lightning/electricity for harsh leads/noise.
Although, I've only been stoned and listened to recorded fuzz once, so I might have to get back to you on this...
