Now this is pure poetry and makes me actually want to look at words again (I've been doing that all day, but they are the sorts of words that happen in emails from people who should know better). I hope you enjoy Dylan Thomas' work, and if not, I thoroughly recommend Under Milk Wood to you, because you do lovely things to language in the same way he did. I've just spent a thoroughly enjoyable 30 minutes reading parts of your blog as well. Thank you for improving a day where written language has been used as a crude bludgeon to spread misery like crunchy peanut butter that has been spiked with grit.

Is Dylan Thomas a member of a second tier thrash band?

For better or worse, I like words. I've never heard Under Milk Wood.
Thanks for the recommendation, and for the kind words.

I haven't read a lot of Dylan Thomas. But...years ago—spaced out over several years—I ate
approximately 18 cheeseburgers at the bar where Dylan Thomas drank himself to death.

Needless to say, I was decades too late to do anything other than order a cheeseburger and a beer.
There was a commemorative metal plaque denoting the spot. Not the spot where I ordered the
cheeseburger, although waiters often commend me on my order, but the very spot where Dylan Thomas
took his final, fatal quaff.

The cheeseburgers were good, and like poetry, went down best accompanied by a beer. The atmosphere
of the place was equal parts beer and dark wood paneling. So much history packed in there that
even the shadows had commemorative plaques.

I'd like to post more but ILF's so slow lately that it takes me ages just to load a thread, so I have to make choices on what to read/answer to. Like this one.

I want to post more, but I end up trolling the gear and BST forums until I get some unstable GAS and then blow my wad on a bunch of shit I dont need.

Vicious cycle.

I think Dylan Thomas is actually Tony Levin.
