Apparently they think by September they can tour. I don’t know how I feel about that one.... I certainly won’t be going!! :wha?:

So this is out now. Mike's vocals seem a wee bit too high on some of the tracks, but not all. Otherwise it's business as usual, which means it's great. Not quite as strung out and miserable as the early stuff, but the Jimmy Bower riffery is 10/10.
It is OK. it is ehg, it is nothing surprising

New Arab Strap is pretty fantastic (which makes sense because Arab Strap rule). They've been really good lockdown listening since we can't go outside and make bad decisions.

I'm enjoying it a lot. Agreed that Mike vocals are not 100% "inspired", so it's not as good as the s/t (which is a favorite of mine) but the riffs are totally on point.
Maybe it's just that I'm in the right mood for it.

Dune is one of my favourite books ever - I’ll check this out

Dune worship is so much more interesting than Lovecraft worship or Conan worship themed bands.

I Love Dune . com

I am actually rereading them at the moment, s y n c h r o n i c i t y

Not sure I'm 100% convinced on this band but it's worth a couple of spins.

I mean let’s be fair, Dune worship peaked with that Sleep song where they called it a “Bong-Jabar” so why even try?

I have not, but will deffo check that out, qersty.
Also, unpacking boxes from moving I discovered my dads old copies of the Dune-saga. I'm really bad at reading, as in superslow and have trouble finding "the mode/mood" for it but started recently and paced through the opening bits and really dug it! Will try to carry on but will prob take me forever.

You know when last year I said I couldn't fully appreciate Black Midi?
OK, the new single totally caught my attention, I've already listened to it 5 or 6 times and now I am super curious to hear the whole album.
