The #1 request I get is « I don’t want to be paired up with X because I was last year, and it was nightmare to stalk them because they don’t post enough ». As you can see, a lot of well established members of the community are sitting this one out because they recognize they aren’t very stalkable this year - which is also why I volunteered to organize.

So yeah. It’s a difficult situation. I understand your frustration. I also understand theirs. And that’s about all I can say. I’m not gonna be put in that position because organizing means not participating. So it’s not my decision but the decision of the 20+ members that have yet signed up.

damnableman, 80 posts in a week seems easy enough to swing though. I promise I won't get annoyed by your ubiquity.

I think people are severely overthinking this. When I send gifts, it's from most likely a few years worth of previous things I've noted about the person and what they are into. Do I get them exactly what they want? I doubt it. I mean, how the hell am I supposed to do that and why does that even matter? It's a gift for crying out loud, just get them something and if they don't like, they can choose to not keep it. It's the thought, not the act. That's how I feel at least. I give two shits about stalking personally. I don't do it barely at all. I'd rather just know my homies regardless of if they haven't posted in months. If I don't know you, you're probably still going to get something awesome and either like or not.

So....on the one hand I agree with Jwar.
But on the other hand, I've hand-built my presents for my santee's, and they ended up really appreciating the stalking and individualized gifts.

I'm not arguing against anyone who does whatever.
