Seconded. I made the mistake of selling my first one, ended up buying another to replace it. Amazing sounding reverb.
For a more DIY approach, the 1776 Rub-A-Dub Deluxe Reverb is a solid circuit.

Third on this one. It’s really good. I wish the delay setting had a few more options but overall it’s just a fantastic reverb.

I used to think I was picky when it comes to reverb, but for a good alround no-frills hall/plate/spring reverb pedal, I haven't really come across anything cheap that rivals the RV-3.
It's old as fuck, but even with today's overflowing pedal market, I can't think of anything similar that combines delay + reverb that well and doesn't cost $200
These days though I rather use my Ibanez DE-7 to fill out silence inbetween notes and to smear out subtle oscillation noise underneath what I'm playing.

The cathedral mode alone made that pedal worth having. Everything else was just sweet, sweet gravy. I also remember having pretty good time running it into distortion on the gated setting for a little extra bloom to my notes.

I feel like the Dispatch Master is the new RV-3 IMO. Never played one personally, but that's the vibe I get from it. It does cost $300 here in Australia though
The DE-7 smear is also pretty cool, so I'd back that. I guess that ends up being kinda similar to how all the traditional guitar-dads use a subtle analog delay behind their soaring leads to make them, well.... soar.
RV-2 is pretty cool too if we are talking old stuff

The Empress Reverb has an update patch called "Friendly Ghost" that is so gorgeous and musical. I use it on everything. One time we did a social media broadcast show I used my nylon string acoustic with the empress and one of the first comments was "that guitar sounds like HEAVEN!!"
Props to some great unique reverbs:
~Caroline Meteore
~Shift Line Prism-9
I've heard other players use the Meris and the Strymon and they were both amazing.

Trying to put down an actual pedalboard for the first time in ages, going to try out an MXR M300 Reverb for it. Demos sound good, feedback was generally pretty good, and it should be pretty flexible for such a small pedal.
Interesting news from NAMM, we have Red Panda Context 2 coming, as well as the DBA Rooms reverb, which seems to be a bit more of a traditional reverb pedal compared to DBA's other reverb offerings over the years.

Have you used RV-6? Do you know how they compare? I really like the RV-6, and use that for delay+reverb.

I am personally excited by DBA Rooms demos, seems like it may be easy to blow some peakers with tho! Sounds fantastic!

I think I'll be buying a Context v2 and I'm interested in Rooms
I like reverb both subtle and over the top.
Subtle favorites - Dr. Scientist Reverberator or Electro Harmonix Holy Grail Max - like I set the reverb in my amps barely noticeable until you turn it off.
Over the Top - Dr. Scientist Bit Quest - so good, love to get string section swells with my guitar. For some reason I hardly ever plug in my BitQuest. Like my Yamaha FX500 that's good too but I use that even lesss. What a pain in the butt that thing is.

I've had a few days with the MXR Reverb now and I am pretty happy with it. Much better sounding than my old quick-and-easy go-to Neunaber Stereo Wet. Smaller and more flexible than my Red Panda Context. That said though, while I havent A/B'd them directly at this stage, I wouldnt say the quality of the MXR or the Context was necessarily better or worse than the other, just different.
Only minor issues I have with the MXR are:
- tone knob push switch feels a little flimsy, not sure how it will hold up over the years
- high current draw (250mA)
- needs an isolated power supply or it whines something fierce
None of these are deal-breakers, just slight inconveniences. The quality of the pedal is enough to justify itself though. The MXR will be going on a small guitar-focused pedalboard with a DOD Rubberneck and some other stuff (OCD clone, micro POG, chorus, looper etc). Miss having a locked down guitar rig...
I will keep the Context for the "at home, experimental" stuff where I tend swap around pedals regularly. The 100% wet option is kinda better for that anyways. I am also probably going to get the Context 2 when it becomes available haha

Not exactly the most exciting pedal in terms of features, but I gotta mention the ghost echo. It’s simple and sounds really good. It’s perfect for playing with heavy dirt. It doesn’t get any of that metallic sound so many reverbs suffer from with dirt. And the attack control is perfect for being able to retain clarity and articulation for picking without it getting washed out. But you still get a good verb and that added richness and depth. Mine may as well not have a footswitch ‘cause I’ve never turned it off since I got it.
There’s been a lot of cool looking reverbs that have come out since I bought it that I haven’t tried. But at the time I went through a LOT of reverb pedals looking for one that would do what this does for me. I entertain the idea of getting one that does crazier stuff to supplement it. But I’m a pretty simple guy and haven’t needed to spend that money yet.

I'm very interested in the Context V2 and Rooms. Probably won't get either right away, buy I am certainly interested.
My go to reverbs are the Rever for more ambient, spacy verb, the Levitation for springy, drippy verb, or either the Dispatch Master or Avalanche Run for vanilla, standard verb.

Ghost Echo is so good! I used to have one and may get another because like you say it is simple and sounds amazing

Looks like CooperFX is perhaps also throwing their hat in the reverb ring?
