There was a tiny little frog in our back yard. My oldest son treated it like meeting a celebrity. Which is a level of optimism and enthusiasm I aspire to.

I am reluctant to take this question seriously but frick I have thought about it quite a bit for kicks. And 80's seems like the best because you had bands that really tried to be rock and roll and not rock and roll at the same time and then you had fricken hair metal and arena rock. Synths and shit started really kicking off, and fricken gated reverb drums and shit. No matter how cool or uncool or what you even though cool or uncool was, it seems like in the 80s there was decent music for any sub culture you identified with. Whatever your gimmick was in the 80s you went all in on it. I was born in fucking 1990 so what do I know, but hey thats what thought about on an hour long commute one time to work. Just seems like all the fun shit in the 90s was influenced heavily by the rad shit from the 80s.
