El Ten Eleven seem to be doing pretty awesome shit with the Boomerang and midi.

The looped phrase itself sounds pretty good actually but when I play over it I just lose all definition in the total sound coming from the amp. I could try amp fx loop but maybe the sound is too hot after the preamp section for the looper to deal with. Come to think of it, maybe my preamp is just set up a bit too dirty to deal with all these notes simultaneously...
It also depends a lot on the cabinet. Maybe there's just too much shit going on (speaking of frequencies) and your speakers can't manage everything. I found out that layered loops for me work better with big cabs (4x12).
I play a 4x12 but you may still be right; it's a Marshall VBC 412 with the original 'custom designed' made in China Eminence speakers in it with no further specs available anywhere, nor were they available 10 years ago when I bought the thing. They are probably not the best quality/most high fidelity speaker but I was 16 at the time I bought it and just wanted something new that said Marshall on it and was suitable for bass  But the VBC412 coupled with the VBA400 and 30" Bass VI-style baritones have become my staple sound for my current band of 6 years so I can't really switch it out without the risk of getting other sonic problems in return so I just kind of have to deal with not being able to loop layers live in a band for now.

Although I have been fantasizing about going a double amp route and using the dry kill function on the Jamman, but I really don't think my brain can cope with the logistics of such a complicated set up in a math rock context where I already have to think about odd time signatures, syncopations, polyrhythms and a sizeable fx chain + switcher while trying to have a good time playing as well :p + it would take up twice the amount of space in the van and I'm not sure if it would even fit.

Just bumping this thread because it's been 1 year and we're still out of new looping options - Blooper excluded.

I saw some retailers have added the new EHX 1440 on their websites, but still no release date (and still, no decay options)

Still my favorite, been playing with it for 5 years now and still discovering things it can do. Over a decade old and nothing comes close. Just got the touchscreen, why didn't I get the touchscreen before?

Unfortunately, covid has delayed the release of the forthcoming ehx pitchfork+ and 1440. No eta anymore, despite what a few online retailers have posted for dates.

Very pricey, but I don't think this one has been mentioned yet. Something interesting to look at until a better solution shows up? :idk:

This Sinularsound looks good, but to it's too basic. No reverse, no speed/octave funticion, no loop decay/feedback... no no no no...

Then check out the Looperlative LP1 for some serious multitrack looper:

Things I want in my looper: reverse, speed/octave functions, decay.
Things I don't want in my looper: BlueTooth, Wifi and a screen(unless it is a laptop).

Ditto

I think my solution is to follow gila_crisis example and grab a Pigtronix Infinity when I have enough funds.

I already got a Boomerang III, RC-3, Strymon Volante(which has a pretty great lofi-tape looper) and a Blooper on the way, so I think I got it covered. :animal:

Don’t get a Looperlative. Get an EDP+.
