I mean I'm pretty sure Mike Patton is a genius but holy fuck this band is so bad.
Sorry for the derail.

I love that the cadence is basically early 90s 'my name is X and I'm here to say' for every tune. Never got any of this shit.
But I did see Tomahawk about ten years ago...that was pretty rad. My friends and I were running around Detroit afterward (car had broken down) and Buzzo stuck his head out of the sunroof of this limo and yelled at us--inexplicably--'Hey Patton hurry up! The methadone clinic is closing up!'
Also, Dave Lombardo.

Yeah Tomahawk is cool. Fantomas made a few really intereting records, too -- Suspended Animation definitely fucks my head up when I listen to it (also that calendar digipack is great).

Oh shit it was Fantomas, not Tomahawk.

Finally got around to seeing it. It was alright enough.
I normally watch Star Wars for the rad looking Robots made out of tin cans, practical sets and Costume design all of which where pretty spot on. Didn't have the same charm of Force Awakens, but if the next 100 years of Star Wars movies are like this then i'm happy.

Rogue did have loads of shitty problems and TFA had to lay a pretty standard foundation for the new Sequels. Compared to the new Alien movie trailer which looks exactly the same as the others, it hasn't built on the mystique the universe has.
I'm just glad that I don't have to write movie scripts.

plinkett is too weird. he'll either rip on something immediately then praise it later, or do the exact opposite.

True, over all though I like his points that have a point... and his hatred of Lucas for ruining his childhood or something...

Just saw it with the kids. Thought it was fantastic, right up there with Empire. There was only one pretty pivotal scene that cheesed out on me. And the AT-AT BS...
Also, Jyn is cute as shit.

so far I only really like their first two albums all the way through, after that they sold out and started to suck….
