You guys should stop the collective hallucination and replace all your holidays with a Lafayette day.

Nah let's just call em all 'war day' and eat hella dead animals. I'm down.

Also: communism: it is for sure something I've spent a lot of time in in terms of research and teaching, and every time I see my wife's grandma at the holidays she starts interrogating me about it. Yesterday she asked me to find her 'pre-revisionist history' books that incorporate biblical genealogies, launched into a tirade about Israel, and told me about the massive network of soviet spies hiding out in Michigan. Love the holidays.

America would have too many holidays because we're so awesome at war.

This may be one of the best gifs ever!

That's pretty much what I'll look like in a few years time, except about 50 kg less muscle.

Originally, yes, but after the second world war it morphed into Veterans Day, celebrating veterans of all of our wars. We're busy little bears.

yeah the thanksgiving negativity bums me out

firstly I love eating turkey, so theirs that

i did have a bad pie experience this year however
just use canned pumpkin, nobody gets fresh pumpkin right

as far as worst holidays, I don't really have one,
it's cool to get time off and my wife tends to make even weird side holidays really special

example: Every year my kids try to catch this Leprechaun, that trashes our house and pees green in all our bathrooms
it's awesome and the traps keep getting more elaborate

holidays are fun, things can just be fun

I have such good thanksgiving memories,
When I was a kid we cooked at a shelter Thanksgiving every year, it was pretty awesome

this year was kindof painful, but that's mostly because my inlaws tried to bate me into political discussions a few times, (Trump voters who were too ashamed to admit it until after he won)

See that's awesome (the shelter bit, not the Trump in laws). Really this thread was meant to express my dislike of turkey or stuffing.

Apparently people dislike social obligations more than Turkey. Did you expect that result?
