Most people inside the US aren't super stoked on our foreign policy, truth be told. The important thing, I think, is to treat the citizens and the government as separate entities -- and that's certainly not just w/r/t either of my countries.

Of course I don't think citizens=government.

Back to business. This is our noise cavern:

assuming I can get the cash sorted I'll try to bring some fun shit, fo sho.

If I can take the car I can stuff it with 70's solid state amps as well.

I'll try and bring a guitar, some pedals and something synthy maybe?

I mean, bring whatever you feel like. We have 4 guitars (tele+strat+jazzmaster+don't know(Eivind's)) and two basses (Aerodyne+VI). The other ones belong to other bands. The drum kit, mics and amps are free-for-all.


We talked about a possible schedule for the weekend:

Friday: Meetup downtown Oslo. I pick people up at the train station and point them over to a bar where Eivind will be enjoying himself. Once we're all gathered, we go buy beer+food and head to the noise cavern. Massive jamming session.

Saturday: We head to Vigelandsparken and have a BBQ. We'll bring some portable noisemakers (Volca Beats, Pocket Piano, acoustic guitar etc). There's a 56 foot statue there, made up from 121 naked dudes and dudettes, forming a giant boner. I think you will all enjoy it.



After we're done BBQing we thought about two different scenarios: Head back and jam and maybe have some solo shows if people are interested. People just sitting back with a beer and watching someone else make noise. OR we can look into renting a bar and have people play there.

Maybe hit the town and get wasted. It's up to you guys.

Sunday: Just chill out. Maybe some want to go sightseeing, maybe others want to jam out some more. Suggestions? Comments?

Was planning on going to Norway this year, so I'd be super up for, if there's room? I'm only small...

How accessible is the Rygge airport? Ive only ever flown into Garden Moan before...

It's only an hour away by bus from downtown Oslo. 40mins away from my place. Not bad at all.

As far as sleeping goes, I know we can fit about 10 people in the rehersal space, and two people on my couch. It will be snug, but doable. We're well above that now IF everyone that has shown interest show up. I can look into hostels and prices if people are interested. It's pretty hard to say yes or no, because things come up. A lot of people said they would go to ILF EU last year and only 7 or so showed up. The same thing could happen now and we would be fine, but we could also have a situation where 20+ people show up and we would have a problem.

So, here's a suggestion. If you're 100% sure you'll make it, you can send me a PM and I'll make a list. First come, first serve sort of deal. Yay? Nay? Other solutions? I'm not a big planner...

Okay, I think we'll do it like this:

I've made a list of those who have shown interest in showing up, in chronological order. I'll set the RSVP date to April 15th. If you're able to come, let me know before that date (the sooner the better), and if you're sure you're unable to make it the same thing applies. If you're uncertain, tell me when you think you'll know and we'll hold your spot, but try to figure it out as soon as you possibly can. I can pretty much guarantee 12 sleeping spots, so if you're, say, number 4 on the list, you've got a spot if you let me know by the 15th. I'll update and repost the list as we go along. Does that make sense? I'm tired and I can feel my logics and English skills fly out the window.

So, it looks like we're good if those written in parentheses either can't show or are able to sleep at home/at their mate's. Some will most likely not make it either, though we hope that everyone does. We're probably good. Home is where the heart is, sharing is caring etc.
