Necro blamping because I started the Far Harbour content the other night and this is my third day on the Island.
While it is a little TOO hammy/trpey at times, what I am digging is the fact that I don't have any settlements or shit to look after.
Its like a fucking holiday.
Plus I took mods off my game as I'm getting some weird black screen drop out occasionally (wasn't the mods) and it hasn't fucked with my game so much. Annoyed it hasn't turned achievements back on but whatever.
It's really nice to craft shit for myself and farm junk/scrap knowing that it'll actually be used to maintain my power armour.
Plus being back on limited resources is kinda cool. It makes the whole "select your mods carefully" thing a thing again.
And I'm collecting some pretty cool new items, so that's nice.
And the story line doesn't actually suck too hard so far.
Very cool, for anyone wanting to extend the life of this game.
I was getting over it to be honest but now I feel refreshed.
I kinda don't want to go back to the Commonwealth and do Minutemen/other pointless faction shit anymore.

Ok, so as soon as I posted that I got a notice in game to defend a settle the in the fucking Commonwealth.
No.
And the. I did a mission and the game gave me another fucking settlement.
Whatever.
It was so nice to be free.
The upshot is I made these ones minimal and basic as fuck. And I can link them to my mainland ones (somehow, by boat I guess. Whatever.) so I'm not building heaps of annoying shit but I've got access to all my resources.
There's still heaps of rad scrap on the island and I managed to upgrade my T-60 power armour to F class last night, and install scrubbers and stealth boy mode, as well as extra carry weight.
Currently cooking up a shitload of Jet to buy the Marine armour, and my character is starting to pick up heavy combat armour.
Shit is dope.
Had a good moment picking up lure weed, which I hadn't encountered before.
I was suspicious of the name and knowing the game thought "there's probably gonna be something attached to this". Pulled two out of the water fine and then screamed in genuine shock when an Angler garbled at me and tried to hit me on the third one.
Crack up.

it was funny timing, i was actually thinking about selling my PS4 because i couldn't get myself to go back to playing F4.
then no man's sky came out and i'm glad i still have it.
