Grampa, just a question, don't take it too hard, just questioning, when you're playing (music) do you also play this much or can you be the silent type as well?

my demos are NOthing much like the music i actually make and play. I use the demos to show the extreme nature of the pedals i'm demoing, i think...or at least that was my goal. this is mostly because of reasons and also because of the lo-fi nature of my recording process for the demos..i use tape in my home studio, and dont have any interface for my computer so I just use my iphone or ipad for making the demos. lately i've also been doing "straight" demos of pedals too i think. but its fun to cram in as many different sounds as possible.

Cool response, thanks for the insight.
Not completely what I meant though, you seem to plug the same video's in different threads here, that was more what I was getting at.
No blame, just plain curiosity, as this can be a virtue in people too (a virtue I do not possess).
Your response is more interesting I think, to be honest, the thing that interests me most about music is contrast.
What's your opinion about contrast?
I mean, lots of more experimental music, be it noise or drone or free jazz or whatever seems to lack contrast to me, just as well as pop music, charts music and commercial music on the other side of the fence, lots of stuff seems and even musicians themselves seem to veer (is that a word?) along the same lines contuously.
What's your opinion on that and where do you stand in that?
Somewhere in my question there was also this questions I think (you were already referring to this with your answer and I think it's more interesting).

yeah, i figure an actual sound clip is going to say more than words and i've got lots of demos so i'm only trying use them in a constructive positive way...not trying to spam them. in real life i'm a very reserved, introverted person and i think that comes across in my music as well so I struggle to overcome that in my compositions. i believe contrast is an essential part of music, as its often what you don't say/play that is often more powerful than what you do. i believe dynamics are very important too, and in my music i try to utilize dynamics a LOT....not just building up cresendos. but for the demos, i think its important to show as many different sounds available from the pedal in as little time as possible. also i'm pretty high on vicoden and valium right now so sorry if i'm not making any sense

This m digging it a lot, the kick drum is massive, especially with verb. The active step is really what sold me, making awesome grooves in 7 and 5 and 6 is such fun. Using step jump to play just a few steps is super sweet too.

Started out with droning, ended up building static and bass hits with an unplugged cable + TAFM, filtered through grail flerb for a drone tone. Was better than the droning haha. Need more oscillators, looping two isn't cuttin it.
EDIT: drone commander connection. Feels good.

This was a resulting loop, recorded line in from the Ditto. Was built/more layered live but you get the gist.
