How bout in order to participate, you also have to donate to ILF? Maybe a minimum of like $10 but obviously more if you want.

This is, all things considered, not a terrible idea.

I don't have a preference based on post count. I know I didn't do it last year because of post count and I probably could have spammed a bunch of threads to try to get it up but that seemed silly. Some people read more than they contribute and that's okay but I think that they need to have some B/S/T transactions at a minimum.

The problem is as follows, when you're expecting a pedal at $50 it's still a free pedal that you could get. This is a community event rooted in trust and honesty. The post count is a way of showing that you're interested in being a valued member of the community. Couple hombres on here, like Gigaheart_FX, are obviously interested in sticking around and making sure that their name isn't tarnished.

I'm not AGAINST the idea of ignoring post count but I think we need some sort of qualifier. There are a lot of gear forums out there and while I think none are as rad and raw as ILF ( ) I don't want some ignorant slut to dive in here and take advantage of our great community and ruin ILFSecretSatan for somebody.

The qualifier if you have less than 500 posts is giving JWAR Handy Js. He loves them and it shows that you are committed.

I couldn't participate last year because of post count and fairly lacking BST interactions and what not
But I'm not sure money and time will be on my side

For anyone interested I am in the UK and have dealt international a number of times.
From UK to USA, the shipping for a pedal 1kg up to 2kg maxes out at around £21 fully tracked and insured (thats about $30ish I guess).
For less than 1kg I think you can get that down a tad.

Personally I signed up for international and hope to send something to the US or Canada or somewhere else cool. Im happy to eat whatever shipping costs.
I am a bit of a beleiver in things like PIF (pay it forwards) and usually participate in the annual PIFs over at Madbeanpedals.com also.

Thats one more post towards my 500

I signed up for domestic, but I'll take international too.

As long as it's in its orginal packaging/unopened I think it's fine. But no alcohol (at least not to Norway).

Yeah depends. I think the rules for Australia is that it can't be above 70% or 5 litres as it then qualifies as a flammable hazard or somesuch. I don't think the states allow alcohol though (which is dumb).
