so glad city of lost children was mentioned early, so amazing, but all little saddened by the lack of oldboy mentions.

everything Park Chan-Wook does is amazing. i love the whole vengence trilogy. the vampy one was awesome. I'm A Cyborg And That's Okay is one of my favorite love story thingies EVAH.
......... Spike Lee's Old Boy was complete shite though.

Fuck yes! He did a ridiculously awesome segment in Three Extremes as well.
Robert Pattinson... Anybody saw him in Cronenbergs Cosmopolis? I actually liked that one.

Yea, it seems like all the people that were associated with Twilight are actually quite good, its just their parts were written really shitty. Kristen Stewart plays a really convincing Joan Jett.

Really thought-provoking, definitely recommended.

Here's my must watch list for everyone:
Samsara- hands down the most gorgeous film ever released, not even debatable.
Onibaba
Delicatessen
Mic Macs
I'm friends with mostly people who study film so I've been subjected to a lot of boring art-house stuff (I see the merit but it's not my thing). I can see all of these are incredible works of art and still engrossing and entertaining.

Watching the Spike Lee Old Boy right now. I wouldn't say it's complete shite (compared to the Park Chan-Wook its fucking abysmal), it's just flat and rather oddly paced. There are some elements I feel were definitely lost in translation (and some added elements that make me want to rip my head off), but overall it's not terrible. Just not Old Boy as it should be I guess.
I never read the manga (?) though so I dunno the original.
