great videos joel, does the pedal keep the presets in memory after being unplugged from the power? and how lo-fi is the lo-fi?
as well as the great control over the waveshape, having the external dips and momentary bypass option are really good ideas too
(oh, i would say that you should put links to all the other 5(6) demo vids in the description of each one, for easy clicking.
maybe its different for other people, but for me youtube just gives randomish links after playing each one and doesnt automatically give a link to the others)

I wish it had some tone controls, though. I'm not really into that trebly, metallic chorus.
that is mostly my guitar... the "dry" side is extremely transparent, I'm sure if you had access to my guitar tone control you could dial in exactly what you want.

man this thing is really cool! sounds really awesome, I love these kind of sounds. you really put everything in here you could want. small package also, really impressive! great demos! I watched them all. you should feel really proud.
There's a very intimidating amount of tweaking you can do, which is cool but it kind of scares me haha. I usually end up tweaking too much and get into analysis paralysis, but that's just me. You seem like a great guy, I hope your pedal business does really well!

Bellyheart wrote:I have to say it but I really don't want to but fuck man. You really convinced me that I could use a chorus. Setting that ramp really slow in bounce mode would be so fun.
What's the slowest speed for the ramp as well as rpm?
Dude, I'm the same way. In general, I strongly dislike that cheesy chorus sound, but when you are able to module the pitch very slowly and dial in exactly the amount of wet signal you want, you get this atmospheric milky thing.
slowest ramp is 15 seconds (30 seconds for full up and down if in bounce mode). slowest rpm is 5 seconds for the whole thing.
I've gone back and forth about this... but if someone wanted one of these tweaked (if it's relatively simple) I could do "code mods" For example... if you're crazy and you want a 1 minute ramp or something. I don't know, haven't decided yet.

Thanks Chet! I ran into the same issues when designing the thing... not knowing when to stop

Thanks man! Yes, the presets are saved even when the unit is powered off. In general, "lo-fi" just runs the bucket brigade a little dirtier, making it noiser. There's some fidelity loss... I basically had an extra dip switch and I thought some might want the option to make it generally noisier.

I can tell you put a ton of time, effort, and thought into creating it, and that makes me appreciate the pedal a lot more. I can't afford one at this very moment, but damn, I'd like to see one on my board someday.
This.
And also, that preset thing was insanely well thought out. I fucking hate presets - there is not a chance I would have a Strymon on my board because of it (I don't care if this is a Luddite approach to guitar effects), but this was kind of an "analogue" way of doing the preset thing. Way to think outside the box!
Production values on the vids were great as well.
It's so nice to get some of this feedback. I too, fucking hate presets. I've been known to have 3 models of the same analog pedal on my board because I really like 3 settings. It seems like it's always 3 or so on a pedal that I really, really like and use live... so I wanted something that would be easy to recall and useable in a live setting.

alright... back to building pre-orders. It was so nice to come in here and see all this positive feedback. Makes me think I did something worthwhile! Talk soon guys.

I was curious if you'd do code mods. Good to know.

Are DIP switch settings saved with the presets? I mean, it seems like they are, but I'm curious.
Also, I love the sound of this thing. SO so much.

I can't wait to see what you concoct next! Any hints?

I read somewhere a tremolo pedal might be in development next.
I'm very interested in the Warped Vinyl but I'd like to know a few things though:
How does it sound with distortion and fuzz (before it as well as behind it)?
Can it do a Boss CE-1 style vibrato?
Will the Warped Vinyl work properly with the Goatkeeper 3 LFO out in the exp input?
What about the international shipping deal, how does it work, if the total shipping price is $55,- I'd pay $27,50, is that right?

I'd like to do a phaser and tremolo in the next year.
