Ive made it clear on several occasions that i think shes a good interviewer....however, i have no interest in 97% of the rigs they rundown and when i do like the band its frequently kenny wayne shepard or someone else doing the interview so im not really concerned with her skills.

I think the fact that shes so good at doing the interviewers is because shes not just another staff writer. The other guys they send out to do interviews about gear are so fucking boring because theyre boring people. They write for a magazine. Dirks and to a lesser extent KWS actually have personalities. Take that shawn hammond guy for example...his interview with j mascis was awful not just because j mascis sounds like hes dying all the time and has zero social skills but because shawn hammond doesnt know how to introduce anything interesting into the equation. "Hey what guitar is that?" "Are they different?" "What amps are those?"


Dude its like...its j mascis....hes going to give you one word answers no matter what and be all whiny and illusive the whole time. Youve got to mix it up and ask him interesting questions like "So dude when are you bringing the noise back?" "Do you think lous screaming on living all over me had any impact on black metal?" "why is your squier all boring and white and not all colory and purple? Is it a racist thing?" "Sup with it not having a matching headstock?" "Do you find it easier to go out in public now that you have a beard and look much less like a pedophile?" "Can you guys make a really noisey hardcore record? The pussy shit is cool but just once lets like...go hard" "why three stacks and not four?" "can i have some of your muffs?" "Why is that tym guitars guy such a douchebag?"

They should just give me her job.

We are all much more interesting than premier guitar....i really want to go to a tool show for a rig rundown and videotape bhandy chasing a scantily clad bodypainted maynard around the backstage area with a tentacle dildo. I really want to do that once before i die.

I loved Rebecca for her chilled out attitude... for the fact she doesn't seem to be like a professional guitar nerd, but she looked like she has genuine interest in everything that happened around her.

of course she looked pretty and cute and all that to me... she might look "average", but damn isn't that one of the most perfect average girls i've ever seen... but it was more than that. She was actually my favourite interviewer on youtube for a long time

I think it would probably be important to use the theme as loosely as possible. Like yeah have a gear blog but if youre an interesting writer id probably be into hearing what you thought about the wendys pretzel burger.
