which is why I put a post time. The Cliff era IS some of the best metal ever made, the post Jason era is some of the worst. Either way they need to replace Lars with a 808.

Metallica was my favorite band when I was a kid in the early to mid 90's. Then I got the opportunity to go to a Metallica show. It was the tour in support of Load. I was really really disappointed with their performance.

All the songs I wanted to here off of Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning were medley-ed into one underwhelming piece of shit. Then when "stage hands" started falling out of the rigging and all the lights come crashing to the stage and they encored with dummy combo amps like they soldiered on as some sort of garage band???

I was pissed. What happened to warts and all, no theatrics,...just on stage rocking the fuck out. I wrote my favorite band off after that.

As far as a worst band goes? I don't listen to music that I don't like so I can't really make a judgement call to that. Anything that is a product and lacks passion and creativity is garbage. So if that describes any of the Taylor Swifts and Justin Beavers and John Meh-ers,....yeah those are the worst bands ever.

Yeah; I just don't listen to it enough to say,...this is turrible; possibly the worst band ever. I mean,...if I went with popular opinion I could probably rattle off a bunch of bands that everybody says suck ass,...but because I'm not listening,....do I really have a legitimate opinion?

I can go back and listen to stuff that I was into when I was younger and go, "oh my gawd I was into that"? 311 comes to mind. I was cool with them back in '97 but I listen to it now and it's just annoying and abrasive.

I know what you mean, these guys CAN play, they just choose to use their talents for evil instead of good. I think that's why they actually offend me so much.

My gf saw lars in whole foods the other day. I wish I saw him I would been like "aw shit! Dave mustaine! Dude guns and roses rocks!" Then spit on his feet.

Which reminds me, guns and roses fucking sucks.

Metallica is not the best band ever by any means... but if you can't think of a band that's worse than them, you need to get out there and listen to some more music

They're just a band I dislike. All the bands posted here have been ok at playing music (interestingly) they just play music that people don't like. It's all an opinion thing.

I saw Metallica on the Black Album Tour and they kicked fucking ass! But that album was the absolute end of them for me. Really ...And Justice for All is the last Metallica album as far as I am concerned.
But they played so many of the great songs that I wanted to hear. Plus they played for about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
