Thanks!
Anyone else? I was reading this thread along with some random posts on this forum and a lot of people had issues with this pedal.

As far as I've understood, it was only the first batch that had issues. Not sure though. Would like to hear more about it as well, as I'm considering this to fill up my board.

I hope you are right!
I found this on another forum.

The possessed burns out quickly when using hot signals. I don't know if its a chip issue but it cannot handle hot signals and eventually stops working. I have known two people who have used them and they both had issues where after a short period of time. It may something you can only use in the beginnings of chains.
I was planning to put that thing probably last in the chain... it might be a bad idea if what that guy says is true.
And the other thing that makes me nervous is the lack of communication with the M.A.S.F. dude, I've read that he doesn't reply back to anyone at all.

For what it's worth, my first possessed was d.o.a. Tone factor sent a second one out and it's been flawless in all sorts of set ups.

I'm pretty sure MASF dude doesn't speak much/any english so that might have something to do with lack of correspondence.
I saw him last night at his bands show but didn't ask about the pedals unfortunately.
It would be interesting to hear out of the people here who have one what kind of signals they were pushing it with and whether it broke or not. tommasters and tljong have some experience with it.
I'm super on edge about buying one cos im not sure if it'd overlap too much with the revolver and I'd have a hard time getting it replaced ordering anywhere but tonefactor.

I received mine last February and never noticed any issues. I use it either in the loop of a skreddy echo or first in the chain to add momentum to samples from the Grendel drone commander. Having said so, the pedal itself is rather complicated to understand but beauty may arise from uncertainty.
It's not a demo per se but here is a song I recorded with the possessed and the Grendel, I hope it can help:

Spot on. I met him at a MASF-booth at their five year anniversary, and dude knows very little english. Very nice though, used body language and youtube-vids to communicate.
If I get it, it will be towards the end of the chain, so I'm also interested in wether it can take it. In the MASF-video they hit it with a pretty heavy fuzz, so I guess it should be ok.

I use it with heavy fuzz almost exclusively with no problems for what it's worth.

That's worth a lot, bb

Hot signals are unlikely to break a solid state device. I believe the Possessed probably uses the SpinSemi FV1 just like the Raptio and it handles hot signals just fine.

the first one i had, from an early batch i think. it was a couple years ago, was wonky.
the one i have now that i got more recently works great. no issues.
yea i doubt u could "burn" it out w/ a hot signal like whoever that is said. i run it w/ line level stuff all the time

hey guys! can anyone who owns or has used one of these tell me if there is any loss of volume or compression when engaged?

the 'hearing knob' is a master volume (overall signal after the mix control) and is at unity volume below noon regardless of how i set it in my guitar rig. i found in a line level chain i had to set it higher for unity.
tbh it doesn't sound compressed at all to me, dry signal sounds identical and wet signal doesn't seem different as far as compression and tone go it just gets a bit grainy and glitchy.
someone else might wanna confirm but from my experience it's got plenty of volume and doesn't add any noticeable compression.
