To which I would like to add that ILF and the fellas in the hate/rage thread got me through every bit of this. I think that story is the sole reason for this thread being made.

Dude, that is a story that wrote life. Amazing and bitter. Had somethign similar about 18 years ago. There was a day when i thought i will die because of a broken heart. And every girl afterwards gets a bit of the bitter taste of the former experience...

I had a somewhat similar situation happen to me where my fucking soul got crushed by a girl (the love of my life at that point) that didn't even seem to realize what she did. She didn't even keep any sort of respectful distance from me. I finally had to tell her to fuck off and die and never talk to me again. I carried those scars really hard for a while. It colored my dating experience very badly for a couple years. But the very next girl that I got serious with ended becoming "the one" and we're married with house and kid and things are great. So, as trite as it sounds,

it gets better.

Thanks bigchief, I really appreciate that. Like I said the girl I am seeing now, really gives me hope. She even asked me to put together a bass pedal board for her to use!

So, I went to a show last night at a local pub, to see fuzzlord's band (who rule, btw), and the last band to go on...I noticed a very blatant TGPer



He had three guitars, all with their own stands on stage, including that Fender there and some Hamer goldtop. Played through a Rivera Hundred Duo Twelve combo..while the rest of the band had stacks. His pedalboard was absurd. I know I saw: g-lab gsc-2, el cap, favorite switch, m9, strymon flint, rat, rainbow machine, maxon analog delay, and two boss bf-2s. And I could tell what he was goin for...but all of it got washed out and you could hardly notice anything in the mix. And he played a SLIDE SOLO. Meeeeh.

But what was awkward about that is that I called him out on it, and....NO one had any idea what I meant. This dude freakin embodied the TGPer stereotype. Merh.

OMG eric!(!!!!!!) I'm SOO fucking jealous. As I mentioned I am totally getting The ILF banner on my inner upper arm when I'm home over Thanksgiving. I will gladly settle for being ILF tattoo #2 behind you.
