Oh yeah, bring it back baby!

Finally managed to round off my Hardcover collection of Y: The Last Man, just got the first two trades of the Hawkeye reboot and I preordered The Wake hardcover for November!

I'm also kind of excited for Gotham Academy when that gets rolling, looks like it's going to be fun.

One of these days I'm going to finish my Cerebus collection - I think I'm missing 4 of the TPBs - and take a vacation where I do little more than read the entire thing in as close to one sitting as possible.

Huge comics fan here. I'm kind of getting out of collecting though, focusing more on fishing and guitar these days.

More recent favorites were:

Loki 1-4 (mini-series)
The entire run of Journey Into Mystery and the over lapping Thor storylines featuring little Loki. One of the best tales I've seen in regular mainstream comics in years. Loki has longtime been a favorite mythological figure for me.
The Chronicles of Wormwood (one of the best comics ever IMO)
Thor and Loki: Blood Brothers
The Silver Surfer: Requiem
The entire original Annihilation saga and Annihilation: Conquest.
The Phantom
Kevin Smith's The Green Hornet
The Green Hornet
Flash Gordon: Zeitgeist
Merciless: The Rise of Ming
The Lone Ranger
Incognito
Zorro
Astonishing Thor
Thor: The Deviant Saga
Clive Barker's: Next Testament
The Immortal Iron Fist
The Sandman: Overture

Being a HUGE Incognito fan and knowing my step dad loved Sin City I got him started on Fatale as soon as it came out. He loves the hell out of it, said it's even better than Sin City.

You really should check out Incognito if you dig Fatale.

Agreed. Perfect marriage of art and story telling on all their books. Phillips and Brubaker are a killer fit.

Have you read The Chronicles of Wormwood?

The dude on the left is Jesus, the dude on the right is the Anti-Christ. The rabbit is awesome.

Some of the best comics I've ever read.

I wish that Marvel and DC superhero stuff was a little easier to get into. I know they try with the New 52, similar reboots and alternate story lines but as a completionist type that wants to read every damn thing about a character and hates finding little lore gaps or nods to things I don't understand it does nothing but give me a headache.

I totally missed wormwood. I will definitely catch up, evil looking stuff.

Does anyone around here order this online. If so which sites are reliable? I use amazon, but there must be a graphic novel focused online store or something.

Transmetropolitan is hands down my favourite, I must admit. Actually planning on getting a Spider Jerusalem tattoo at some point.

Otherwise, a couple other favourites of mine:

Deadpool (I've always enjoyed the whole breaking the fourth wall thing)
Y: The Last Man
Preacher
Most things Marvel, but especially the whole Civil War collection
Wormwood
I have no idea how much Batman/The Dark Knight stuff I've got, but it's a fair amount
I Feel Sick by Jhonen Vasquez

I reeeeally wanted to like Hellblazer, but for some reason I really struggled to enjoy the artwork :idk: I find it difficult to enjoy something unless both the storyline and the artwork appeals to me.

Those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head, but I know I've got more. At some point I'll have a look and try and provide something a bit more indepth.

As it happens, I have plans for half of my torso to be covered in comic book artwork, as far as my right elbow. Currently (and sadly) all I have is Deadpool on my arm, but I have plans to incorporate Preacher, The Dark Knight, Transmetropolitan, Transformers, and more. I'm also tempted to add in some anime artwork, such as FLCL or NGE.

I buy stuff locally, but any time I see an online store mentioned by an artist it is this place: http://www.tfaw.com/

Locke & Key has to be up there for me.

I love the storytelling in Locke and key. However, the ending was a little bit of a let down... But definitely one of my favorites too. I hear they're coming out with a tv show.

Anybody into Chew?

Love Chew. Read through the 8 trades, but missed an issue, so now I'm waiting for trade number 9.
