Hobo was one that I had higher hopes for, but kinda fell flat. Yeah I can see the homage it was trying to pay, but the films it was influenced by sucked anyways (to me).

it was horrible. the campiness was fun for like, 13 minutes. but then it was just shitty story, horrible acting, bad effects.... with a neat filter.

Do you have Netflix? That's where I've been watching most of my horror lately. I own 500 plus horror dvds...I have a sickness because I used to own like 1200

So I've mellowed out on the purchases of those and started watching online and renting. So much cheaper.

I really like Hobo with a Shotgun. Thought it was kind of refreshing. I really dig the grindhouse type movies though.

hurrrm. i like Grindbousey type stuff when it's a good flick. but Hobo.... meh. besides Rutgarhah... everybody else was just awful.

OH! um.... fuck is it called... SIGNAL. The Signal was pretty fucked up but not super gory. the mood shifts make more sense if you know that each chapter was directed by a different person. i love that movie.

Have you guys seen Battle Royale? My friend seemed to like it, but I dunno. I read the book and while it was both lulz and COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS, the movie feels.....ehhhh. I watched some of it a few years ago but never finished it.

There's a sequel to it where like...high school students storm a beach D-Day style and shit. I dunno

urm. i saw it during in the theater with my GrrL, who's not into fucked up shit at all. so... it bummed me out pretty good. i think it's like Event Horizon, where a huge screen and good sound makes a big difference.

watched Requiem then Dancer In The Dark the next day in theaters. almost went home and topped myself.

lulz. i loved Ju-on. my wife's friend stayed with us a couple weeks a few years back. first night she's here, we were talking. she has a little English, my Japanesr sucks but i can get some shits across. she was looking through my dvd folders and said, "ooo! JU-ON! HAI! chotto matte!". then flipped her long haor over her face, dropped onto the ground, and started to do that creepy spider walk at me. "ii ne!!"

i damn near kicked her in the face she skeered me so bad.

I really liked that movie, I love ridiculous movies though. Especially if there japaneese.

My 2 cents would be A Serbian film.

It was actually pretty decent all in all. The fight scene that takes up the second half of the movie was really neat to watch due to some of the ideas and areas they went through. I'd recommended it, sure.

not horror fucked-up, but the Todd Solondz film Happiness is an insanely dark comedy.

It has been said, but Martyrs wins for best fucked-up horror.
