I can either use some piercing antiseptic aftercare spray stuff or i can try contact saline solution the only thing is that it is the squeeze type bottle that has preservatives in it. I know each one isn't ideal but which one is better? i just don't see myself making up a batch of solution every day for 6 weeks.

Edit i'm going to use the spray i'm fairly sure nothing bad will happen. :idk:

All I ever use, as was recommended to me, is SoftSoap. All you have to make sure of is that it's plain, no aloes or lotions or anything.
Between, that and regular salt soaks, your jank should heal in no time.

To what size did you get pierced?

It worked fine for me, but you may well have a valid point there. Mine was also a 16-G needle, so there was less total surface area to treat to begin with.

I think they would have pierced it for me a size or two bigger but meh i'm happy might leave them at 14 for a few months.

Yeah man, those dudes are kooks, for sure. Taking it slowly and allowing proper healing time is win.
Once you go to stretch, you should be able to go straight to 10g. The size difference to 12g is so super negligible.
I waited a couple months and had no problems skipping 12g. In fact, my piercer actually suggested it.

You're still at 14G?

Weird, unless your system is slow at healing in general. You're not using junk-metal earrings or anything...right?

Almost every mall I've seen recently has an island kiosk w/all kind 'o body-mod thingies, and most of them are SS steel and not too pricy...you might check that out for the stepping-stone 'rings, etc.

I used Saline Wound Wash on all my piercings and it was never harsh and worked pretty well. I suggest looking into that if you can find it. & good choice on the higher grade metal.
