Well,I've never done anything with building,circuit bending or moding,but would like to learn one day,would I need a lot of stuff? Where do I go to find out how? And by the way,if anyone knows how and would like to take a shot at it,someone with experience,I have no problem letting them try it out Hell the thing is fucked anyway,of someone could fix it then great!

It's always worth opening the back to look for obvious things and if it is true that he DID send it off, then there might hopefully be a sign of the previous repair to maybe go by... the fact it still works to some extent suggests to me this is fixable.

I didn't wanna post in this thread cause... yeah... but fixing a pedal I can get on board with.

Hey guys,thanks for the kind thoughts,I know were you are coming from and I understand the reputation he has,I have been giving him time,and he told me himself that if there is anything just let him know,now that he replied to all my e-mails instantly before,and actually made the effort to get a hold of me on the phone for this sale I don't understand,I seriously cannot get through to him,how is it that his roomates phone is out of service? Both phones out of service? He told me that Thursday he would get his phone up and running,this is fucked,and he seemed fine to me,made me wait a whole hour because he had all the time in the world to teach people how to play instruments 30 minutes away? After we agreed on a time to meet? And I missed my cousins b-day? He was very careless and did not give a shit,didn't even apologize when I said,you can't make people wait like that,in my eyes,I'm sorry guys I know he was good and trustworthy but right now and he has showed that this is very weird,I got an e-mail from Paul perry,he told me that he never experienced the alienator making those sounds and he is going to get back to me,I am seriously praying that he is willing to take a look at it and fix it,and how com he has a bunch of everyones pedals and dissapeared? If he was going through shit for three months,how can he post on kijiji and craigslist and repost more times?

the big chip on the backside of the PCB is probably an OTA operational transconductance amplifier yeyey. or possibly his favorite quad opamp. on the other side its a lot of small SMD 8 pin looks like soic. all bitcrushers have a clock, a AD chip and a DA chip. it just converts it to digital and back at your selected bitdeptth and sample rate. the sample rate knob will controll the clock. the bit depth knob is probably a rotary encoder that has to have a stepped output in either resistance our volts. but it all depends on the data sheet of the AD and DA chips. most likely they are slave to the same clock and both taking the same signal for bit depth resolution. that whining noise might be the clock bleading into the audio.

Honestly, even if he didnt mean to fuck you over, i doubt hed consider refunding your money after you calling him a "FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT". Im just sayin is all. What i will def say is that i am saddened by him fucking over other members. Pregnany or not, dude has time to get to the post office, esp if hes always out buying baby shit. There is no excuse for a tourbox not being shipped out for several weeks. No excuse.

I really appreciate it,I'm just waiting to hear back from Paul perry,I asked him if he would be willing to fix it for me so I guess we'll see,but if he doesn't want to them I'll contact Jack,oh man,I'm praying that I can get this thing fixed,it'll cost a bit more for this unit but at least it won't be a total loss
