You're right. And of course I did once the game was on. But it is hard when all day long everyone is running around wrapped in flags and in the team's shirts and shit like that. It might be schizo, but as a german I have my bad feelings when the flag waving gets heavy.
Also I was referring to the two brothers in part. And Kevin-Prince is the one that almost won me over for Ghana. Damn, what a talented bastard!

And, damn, what an amazing game. One hour of pure adrenalin! Wow!

Yeah it was a great game, Ghana looked like they were gonna win at one point. And yeah we do have a football team, it's made up mostly of people who weren't born in Singapore though.

I'm vaguelly supporting England, but only because my workmates are all really mad football fans, and we all get to leave work early if there's a match on.

Wow. Italy v Slovakia. Easily the best game of the tournament so far. This is what the world cup is all about.

^ Indeedy. Should have been a lot more comfortable for the Slovaks than it was though.

Don't underestimate Ghana. When Germany played against them, they were an extremely effective team and easily par with Germany. That Germany won was basically a mixture of luck and German-ness (discipline, triumph of the will, tanks etc..) The US can make it, I think but it wil definitely not be an easy game.

And Germany vs. England. I think everybody was hoping for that, at least the papers were already rousing emotions before it was clear they'd play against each other. It's funny how they do it. 'cause it would be in bad taste to write against the old enemy the tommies, known for child abuse, mindless drinking and schizophrenity, what they do is much more perfidious. They just quote what the english papers write - those in turn have no problem with writing what they think about the old enemy the Krauts, known for bad manners, engineering and emotionless enforcement of genocide football games. So they can arouse the same emotions and everybody has the bonus of feeling much better and sofisticated.

It's going to be so much fun!

Haha the british tabloids really are tasteless, but that's what makes them so hilarious. you just know if we play argentina the tabloids are going to be raging about the 'argies' and how 'they can't have the falklands and they can't have the world cup either!!!!'
