Don't think this Mellowtone'll last much longer:

Yeeeeeaaaaah, that's a little sketchy.

Also, "this overdrive pedal delivers echo effects." :wha?: :?:
Soooo, I shouldn't use the shots I took of me rubbing my pedals on my junk when I flip them?
Lighten up, man. Everything's better with junk.
I'M PERFECTLY CALM, IT'S JUST A SKETCHY AS FUCK AD.

May I ask if you've replaced the DC with something else? Any recommendations on alternates for knuckle-dragging guitarists such as myself? If this tangent belongs in another thread, please let me know.
Don't worry about being off topic, this is what we do. Discussions in a discussion forum, how shocking!

Yeah I swapped it out for a Shruthi XT (and, actually, sold my DC to the guy who sold me the Shruthi, ILF'er Ritz). I'd say that while they don't directly overlap, the Shruthi does more of what I wanted the DC to do -- slow sweeps, controlled droning, etc. The charm of the DC is that you send it on it's merry way and it will make musical sounding things of varying use (that and the filter sounds sublime), but the actual control you have over what it's doing is fairly negligible.
You have a Shruthi? Do you like it? It seems like it does a lot of what I want a synth to do. I don't want keys on any of my other synths.

The XT is rad. I think the normal version would be too much menu diving if I wasn't familiar with the functionality. It was a big part of my bit at the Mausoleum/ILF EU and eventually we just had it running in the background at the practice space as we chilled, which was nice.

Sweet thanks. Good to hear that sound wise it is what I expected. I agree with the menu diving but I also like the idea it can fit anywhere. The XT is like three times the size and at least double the price. No complaints, I just think the smaller one is going to lend itself well to whatever garbage I make.

Thanks again.

Looks like the Shruthi XT was discontinued in 2014 and the Shruthi in 2015? The used market may be an option, but are there any currently marketed alternatives that anyone would recommend? Extra points for strong sub/bass performance.

And with junked photos. :surprise: :picard:

You can still get the kits/parts to build a DIY Shruthi.

Just got an email from Sweetwater saying that all EQD pedals will be 15% off tomorrow, Saturday the 6th (only). No code/call-in needed. I need someone to tell me that the Avalanche Run isn't as cool as I want it to be.

I just got a similar email from Rogue Guitar Shop with a 15% sale on EQD pedals for Saturday 8/6/2016 only using code RGS15. Interesting coincidence?

Thanks for the link! :thumb: I've sent them an email with a few questions and I might end up following your lead. Which filter are you interested in?

However, my DIY skills are poor and I also saw this:

I'm beginning to think the phrase "my boner" is marching with ill-advised confidence in the direction of this conversation.

You and me both. Not doing this as a DIY...I'll stick to Bleep Labs stuff for that.

As far as the filter...I don't actually know...I have a KORG MS-20 Mini so I really don't need another "aggressive" like the Polivoks (which to my ears is like an MS-20 filter on bath salts [In the best way...]). I also have the KORG ARP Odyssey reissue do I don't need another 4 Pole...so yeah, not sure...I'm really getting this for the wavetable cause I wanted a PISTON HONDA MK II but have made it a point to not go EURO let alone modular (nope not me)...

...yeah I'm a guitar player actually so how these synths made their way into my home is beyond me.
