That is awesome. Junior gore grind.

Hey Ax, all women have a baby phobia...until they get one of their own. Heads up.
Also, there are very few olds who are supportive of music and the arts as they don't see any money in it. My dad wanted to (and could have been) one of the first pro surfers when big money sponsorship surfing was emerging in the 70s. His old man said no, cause he didn't see a future in it. It was newfangled at the time. He wanted dad to be a dentist or some shit. So dad dropped out, ran off the rails in his own weird way and became a bricklayer. Since his life was always work, he drilled that into my brother and I. So, no rock and roll or writing career for me.
Dads changed his tune in the past few years though, as my brother has been through massive mental health and drug problems, a lot of which stemmed from his unrelenting desire to be an artist. Dad had to relent, as it's pretty much the only thing my bro is wired to do. They used to want to kill each other, now they get on like a house on fire.

I don't know why I shared that then.

It's a tale that is tragically repeated all to often. It's important to teach kids the value of hard work, but not at the expense of crushing their talents. I wasted a few years of my life going to college because "its what people do" I'm planning on going back, but this time it wont be aimless and I will have a real goal. I will also keep music as a priority this time around.

SKIP...CONGRATS MATE! Little girl will be awesome...my brother has a 2 year old and she is definitely Daddy's little girl!

On the drums thing...i'm not keen on drum software, as i don't run anything into computer at the moment. But looks like i need to start trying it out, as i'll probably get a lot more done that way. I just have no patience for learning technical stuff...even garage band is a stretch for me!

Also, congrats dude! We had our girl in November, they're heaps of fun, different from boys from the get go.

I was something like that yes hahahahaha I was such a weird combo of shit that its hard to nail down exactly what i was.

Thanks! They are heaps of fun, I've raised both of my step kids from pretty young ages including my step daughter from 9months on and its crazy how different they are once you realize the stages kids go through. I'm excited.

Thanks bud! I plan on doing something similar as my kids get older, my stepson is finally getting to the age where he wants to play something and it looks like that something is drums. My stepdaughter has a cameo on our upcoming full length so I've all ready started.

Thanks Sam!!! If shes anything like her half sister she will definitely be daddy's little girl, but that might cause some tension between them.

It's funny you post these on the same page that it comes out that i was a "candy goth" or a "dark raver" as a teen. This used to be pretty much exactly the songs i'd listen to when i was drunk as piss and self loathing during that time.

it was pretty hilarious especially with hair that was down below my nips but shaved on the sides and back (ala maynard keenan circa mid to late 90's). Freaking long sleeve fish net under shirts and bright blue UFO pants, but blasting shit like Entombed and Incantation from my CD walkman that was held together with duct tape. Gah... Looking back the 90's were fuckin weird...

I was much smaller during the 90's, so most of my memory is of Power Rangers and post-80's teen shows.

The 90's ruled for me. I would skate all around town all day listening to Misfits and Ministry. When I wasn't doing that I was practicing in my first band that did nothing but Nirvana and Black Sabbath covers.

I remember playing in the garage in my first band, doing Metallica and Nirvana covers. My second band was all about the Sabbath.

The neighbourhood watch came after my first band, I remember

I listened to my fair share of misfits and ministry as well. And my first band did Nirvana, Ramones, and Exploited covers. Twas actually pretty fun.
