I have no use for zombie baby jesu, but this really is my favorite time of year.  I get to watch my cats play under the tree and there’s ILFSS.  Getting the chance to see how someone else thinks, checking out work from all the forum builders, trying out gear you might not think to get yourself. Best. And this year it looks like everyone is having a damn good time.  But I do have to say that my gift package from dminner is epic, fucking epic.

Dminner has the skills to pay the bills.  I’d seen alot of his posts in BST and admired his work, but in person it’s incredible.  The two shirts - one full-on custom - look great and are actually the right size! (Something both my wife, Amazon, and too many of my fav bands haven’t been able to figure out.). And the screenwork, probably the best I’ve EVER seen.

My real present - a custom creation from dminner’s Audio Disruption Devices!  Won’t have a chance to plug in until after the holiday, but based on the looks and control set I’m betting the description from the enclosed letter - DESTOYS EVERYTHING - holds true.  No idea what the design is based on, but I can’t wait to try it out.  LFO and an octave switch and three nipples!  Can’t wait to figure out what it does - but I know it’s going to DESTROY.  And visually, it just stunning.  The screening/paint/whoknows is unlike anything I’ve seen in person, and the slanted enclosure, yum!

And on top of it, dminner is some sort of psychic.  A second pedal, that I assume is obv HP based - a circuit with which I have a long history.  (Actually it’s a Bosstone - even better!). Always happy to try a new variant, and I’ve never had, seen, or even made one that looks this cool.   And the Modest Mouse record?!  Flashbacks of college, the millennium, the girl that stole the LP when we broke up, doing covers of Shit Luck at open mic nights w/ her and a third, weird and embarrassing stories that go on from there.  

Most importantly, dminner wraps gifts w/ duct tape. Brother from another.

Four CDs (know some of this stuff, psyched to listen!), awesome socks, a tin filled with picks (the one you gave me last time is in constant use, I'll bring this to live in the rehearsal space), the coolest t-shirt ever (which I am currently wielding), and an ADD Aphelion! Ducked around with it a bit earlier today, and it's an interesting modulation machine that is capable of cool, bitcrushed slapback delay and loads of other audio mangling stuff. Will take some time to learn it all, but the first impression is that it's fun as heck. Also cool that I got a pedal made by my victim. CIRCLE JERK! I also got some amazing candy, that is not pictured because I accidentally it.

Load of crazy candies - the big foot is a personal favorite, and my cat quite liked the crocodile until he figured out it might bite him
There was a yoda pick that is somehow become one with the force and evaded the photo - add the Kane figurine and theres my sci fi love on point. Really cool!
I have added the barefoot button to a pedal and will take a pedal board shot with it in due course. these are very nice!
Last but no means least a CD, I listened to the title track and really liked it. Not a band I had heard of before, so thanks for turning me on to that ( Unknown Mortal Orchestra)
