Auerbach's tech is super boring to listen to. I only got about five minutes into that before I bailed.

for real. if i didn't know better, i'd think that obnoxious tech was showing off his own board. also, i found it kind of annoying when he was like "we had to simplify the board. it was just too hard for dan to sing and play guitar and switch pedals."

thats the exact part where i went from 'fuck this tech guy' to 'actually fuck Dan Auerbach'
band pretending to be a 2 piece and having hidden members annoys me enough, but shit like not switching your own pedals just fucks me off. why even sing your own songs?

If you've seen interviews with him, you'd be glad it was his sound guy. Dan doesn't really know how to communicate, he's a slow guy...

i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks this way. and i get fucking pissed when people don't tune their own guitars. i think i watched the Bonamassa gear video for the lulz, and he was like "and umm this is my tuner. but it's just there for cosmetics because i don't tune my own guitars." god does that piss me off. is there a level of entitlement where you no longer have to know shit about your gear or have to tune your own guitars?

c) boner inducing guitars
d) actual demonstrations of sounds
e) small things like the photo-eye noise toy

it's goddamn long, but worth it... watched it a few times myself that's how you do a rig review

I didn't get the impression that the Tech does the effect switching. Just that they altered everything to make it easier for Dan to do stuff.
