While there are some boring parts in the book, there are certainly parts of Atlas Shrugged that make me think. I've found myself agreeing with statements made.
Personally, I like the old bum in the diner in chapter seven. I won't reveal anything since there are people interested in reading the book.
EDIT: Although I must say, I think words like "incredulously" and "contemptuously" are used much too frequently.

This book is insane.
Such a compelling read for a 300 year old novel. The story is really crazy and I'm not even halfway done. It delves into really taboo topics, especially for its time (feminism, incest). Defoe must have had a few wild experiences in the 1700s.

Started Aldous Huxley's Brave New World on a flight back from Houston. Interesting so far, but it's doomed, because I rarely read outside of an airplane these days.
