Stay off the Tylenol, guys! Don't break edge!!!!!
Am I the only one here who thinks of a lot of this stuff as happy music?

When I'm majorly stressed there are few things that make me feel better than my headphones or the record player and blasting some doom while sipping a good beer.

Ibuprofen is the go for migraines. Ibuprofen and darkness.
Not just cause I'm doom, but because my migraines make me photosensitive, and you need the anti-inflammatory effect.

So I have been offered a trade for my amp, a guy has a MJW Roadster 18w head with a 1x12 cab. I had a look at some vids and at the website...anyone have any experience with these amps? or can anyone tell if these are Marshall Plexi style amps - which is what i think they are...
http://www.martamp.com/amps.html. The one i'm getting is a little different to the one the website, it only has a Volume, Tone, Power knobs and two inputs (suspect and high and low input)
on the Cab side, he's given me a choice between Eminence Legend 125 or WGS Reaper...neither of which i have ever had in any of my amps, so if anyone has had these before or looked at these then would be great to hear your thoughts.
I figure this would be a better deal than buying a new Ampeg GVT, based on build quality and tone...?

I actually don't take anything anymore even though I have migraines every day, when I was 18 I was in a car accident that left my left orbital eye socket fractured. I have a 3"x3" metal plate that now makes up the left side of my forehead. I went through paint management for 4 or 5 years and went from Tylenol 3 all the way up to OXY40's at the end. Then I had to go to rehab to get off the pills the docs gave me. I'm what you could call a real "metal head".

one thing about the show, not very loud. I did wear plugs tho. Chatted pickups and amps for hours with Alex. Fun times. Tired now tho, hour drive home after the show.

Black metal shows aren't always known for being ridiculously loud like doom shows. For most of them half stacks are perfectly acceptable, and they make good use of them. Aside from Doom, black metal shows are my favs to go to. Especially if corpsepaint is involved.

the band Alex was roadie/tech for Hellgoat setup that stage shown in the picture, and when they came back to play they were decked out in corpsepaint and i believe they actually cut their arms for some added blood for additional effect. Yea all half stacks or less type of stuff.I stuck out like a sore thumb at the show haha maybe 30-40 people were there and here i am in jeans, hoodie, baseball cap, iommi/god shirt and everyone elsew decked out in full black metal regalia.

love the added blood effect!
there was a small band in Oz back in the day (early 90's) who use to cut their foreheads and have blood coming down their face...and during the show they would punch them selves to open the wound up to get more blood...good to watch, but shit to listen to!
