Eh, not really. I use lighter fluid to remove dried blood and sweat from my G&L. Works fine, and leaves the finish alone.

TB impressed me tonight after reading some of that thread bluewine made about how grindcore is far below his superior old man tastes. He got ripped into over the course of 21 pages. I didn't see his Paul McCartney Defense Force yet and he's still backpedaling and trying to defend himself. Someone even went so far as to say "this is why old people shouldn't be allowed to use computers." ON TALKBASS! THAT'S UNHEARD OF!

It's cool because all the old grindcore bands are old dudes now. Several of them never grew up into fucktards!
I went to one of the Carcass reunion shows a few years ago (amazing) and Jeff Walker called everyone pussies because "I'm 40 fookin' years old and headbangin' harder than you!" or something to that effect. That was a violent god damn show and he was completely correct.

Using effects on bass is a pointless exercise. I'd rather have a pure representation of my bass tone.
P bass w/ flats into an SVT is the way forward.
I know this guy's post is sarcasm but this is what I see fairly often in the effects forum and it bugs the shit out of me.
