dazedbyday wrote:Yeah sounding great Skip. You guys always have good looking videos too. Very well produced. Can't wait for the show here at the Knitting Factory. Although my teacher's Pink Floyd cover band is playing the same night....

Thanks so much!!!! Our video guy Patrick does amazing work, he started his career with us and now he's doing videos for bands like Caspian, hes come along way. The Knitting Factory show is gonna be killer, its gonna be our first time headlining a gig in NYC and it just so happens to be at one of the best clubs in NYC!

ridingeternity wrote:Sounds awesome, normally im not too into music like this...but your singers voice and the conviction in delivery of all instruments kept me along for the whole ride. Mainly when I hear bands in this style there is this underlying note of insincerity...something just kind of whimsical and forced about the whole ordeal...I didn't pick up anything of the sort here.

Perfect pairing of the video atmosphere with the music, song is solid on it's own but the emotional context adds a whole lot to the whole thing :thumb:

Thanks broham!!!! Our singer Kristina is awesome, shes a shy lil sweet heart but has such conviction when singing about dark subject matter. And the conviction you describe in the instruments i think has alot to do with the fact that we recorded it all ourselves in our own studio at our pace. There was no rush or pressure, we had the ability to do it how we wanted and got everything to sound how we wanted, it made the whole process so much better. And as a result helped propel the end result even higher.

And thanks on the video! Patrick gave us a rough outline of the video but wanted to keep most of the details a secret until he showed us the footage and we were blown away. Its been hard keeping this under wraps for the past few weeks.

Thats crazy! I will definitely keep that in mind if we ever hop across the pond!

AngryGoldfish wrote:I know exactly what you mean. So many bands try to aim for this deeply philosophical position and demeanour, but it almost always ends up being contrived and fake, both from a happy point of view and a sad one. But Drop Electric are definitely not like that.

  I wub you Dan, i really do.

dazedbyday wrote:Sister Bars! We should arrange a ceremony to exchange certificates or whatever city governments give to each other for that stupid shit. Then we can have a giant show to celebrate

I would so be down for this!

Hell yeah, the guys a monster drummer for sure. :animal:

I'm really digging where things are going and can't wait to play some shows. I'm trying to keep myself reeled in though. I dont want to create a pressure situation with shows booked and a deadline and stuff.

Thought I might want to just check in with that Matamp guy in NYC to see if he'd ship AAAAANNNNDDDD that ad is already down. I imagine he had no trouble relocating it at that price.
