I shouldn't drink, but I do. I don't drink anywhere near as much as I used to. I'm sick of hangovers kicking my arse and making me waste days off. Plus it's never pleasant having to wake up after drinking to small children. It's just not what you want to be doing, especially when the wife punishes you by putting you on nappy duties. Also why I don't smoke that much anymore either. That and my wallet says no.

I like a few drinks now though, plus I'm at that age where I can draw a line and am able to afford beer that isn't shit if want a couple of nice ones. Hoegaarden rules my world! Ooh, and it's getting colder, so monteith's black beer will be consumed! :doom:

I can't financially justify more than a six-pack every two months or so. But I do like beer. Really the only alcohol I enjoy (though we do a 1-day wine tour binge once a year with a couple friends, which is a blast).

However, :ilw:

Hrm. Different strokes/folks.

Alcohol is just something I enjoy. I drink daily, a glass of wine or a small pour of bourbon with my partner each night to wind down from school/teaching. I don't smoke anymore, so it's a nice ritual.

Of course, I have been known to tie one on from time to time and get mighty wild. Like I said, to each her/his own!

Watched this a while back and really enjoyed it. The live footage was a treat, too.

:yay: Do they serve Arnold Palmers in philly? If not I'll take a 4 Horsemen. :thumb:

....I don't drink, So i have no idea what any bar has. hahaha.

I dont drink very often, an Arnold Palmer is just 50/50 Iced Tea and Lemonade, no alcohol. A 4 Horsemen is 4 shots, a shot of Jack Daniels, a shot of Jim Beam, a shot of Evan Williams, and a shot of Jose Cuervo. :wha?: :animal: :yay:   :surprise: :barf: :whoa: :duck:

AKA THE WORST. A friend bought me one b/c she thought it'd be funny. I can't handle tequila, so the moment it hit my mouth, I spit it all over the place. Tequila = instant vomit.

Bourbon on the other hand = :!!!: Bulleit has a 10 year now that I really want, when I can justify a 45 dollar bottle of whiskey. :picard:

Yeah I've never been able to drink wine. I can neck champers though, if its going.
Love bourbon. Have recently got into tequila with ginger beer and lime. Is awesome time. Scotch is my instant vomit drink. That and milk based stuff.
:ilw: very nice.

ever since my Chrons i've had to stay away from alcohol...but that's meant that the alcohol i buy at home is really good, and financially works because it lasts for a long time...the last bottle of vodka i bought was a year ago, really...really good...and i maybe have a glass of that neat, every month or so.

Mmmmmm WaWa, I love me some of that. Around here we have Sheetz which is pretty much exactly the same thing, except not as good. As far as the drinks, since it will most likely be a show I definitely won't be drinking, as a band we keep it to a zero to one drink maximum before we play.

Exactly! :picard: That used to be my "catch up" drink, if I had to work late or something and then meet up with my bros I'd always order one of those to catch up to their level quickly. The worst I've ever had was a "Crossing the Border", 5 different shots of tequila in succession followed by a shot of grenadine with a cherry in it. That is a guaranteed black out followed by a hangover in the morning. The last time I had one of those which was probably 4 or 5 years ago now and the debauchery that followed is probably available to watch for a price somewhere on the internet.... :grumpy:

Bourbon is nice, if I'm having a chill evening its definitely what I would prefer, but 45$ aint bad I've had a 175$ single barrel batch from a private distillery  . If I'm out and about though I love me some good Rum (I love Sailor Jerry's Rum  ), it never seems to get me black out drunk (like tequila) and it doesnt make me tired (like bourbon or whiskey).

Ugh, Sheetz is the worst, like the handjob of convenience stores. When i was still in school all we had was sheetz. I refuse to eat anything from a place that tries to name anything a Shmagel.

This post mirrors my feelings and experiences exactly. :thumb:

While my body can still hack the occasional hangover, all it took was a couple instances of hangover PLUS daddy duty to really whip my ass into shape. I def still drink, however, much more responsibly. ;)

Good thing cuz I just found a Fender Custom Shop Bass VI in Sonic Blue that I had to have.

Then I traded my Maton for that Bass VI straight up, a total steal on my end. Psyched!

That looks real nice. What are the four switches? Pick up selector and what?

Thanks!

Three switches are used as pickup selectors while the fourth is a bass cut/"strangle" switch.

tomlane95 wrote:You have the best collection of guitars in the universe

Thanks dude!

Def super happy with the collection I have currently. My goal was to have a wide range of options covering most every need. LP Custom, EGC Chessie, Jazzmaster, Tele, Bass VI, and Reverse Jag Bass should do the trick. :thumb:

This Bass VI is the last new instrument I'll acquire for a very, very long time. That's the goal at least.
