Well, just because they were doesn't mean I have to, y'know? As someone whose substance intake (apart from my coffee habit) is limited to the very occasional beer, I have to say I'm sympathetic.

Hey elk, nothing wrong with that dude. Fuck, I've way to much on my plate to even have more than a beer these days, but I think pelliott is more decrying hardcore wowsers than he is the idea of having to put up with drunken stoner flakes in your band. Conversely, having to put up with a dude like that would also be painful.
Bottom line: some motherfuckers don't need drugs to be straight up assholes; not everyone on drugs is cool.
As always with humanity kids, take it on a case by case basis.

Having said that, I wish I had a doobert.

Oh no I understand anyone not drinking or using anything but the way he put it made me chuckle. Iommic basically covered it for me. I don't judge people for not drinking at all (don't not weren't ain't idn't not wasn't), but I don't like when people are aggressive and in your face about either side of the coin. I feel like it's a thing that people would understand if he didn't broadcast it unsolicited and if politely declining to partake in drinking/drugs results in "come on why not bro? just one" no one should probably want to work/hang out with those people anyway. It just feels like a LOOK AT ME STRAIGHTEDGE AS FUCK thing. The caps don't help.

Good points, bros. The original post had been flagged for removal by the time I got there, so I didn't get to experience it in all its CAPS LOCK GLORY.

I never thought Dorthia sounds like a dude. :idk:

And yes Parker from Cough is also the bassist in Windhand. We keep it in the family here in Virginia.
Dude I love her voice. Windhand could have easily gone the doomclaw screeching dude route, and it still would have been awesome, but Dorthia's work turns it into this haunting mess of overwhelming psychedelia-gone-horrifically-wrong-murdered-my-lover-in-the-woods-with-satan kind of feel.
Which, needless to say, I love.
Plus, she has a sexy voice.
Much ghost eroticism is had.

Bringing it all back for a second, the lady vocalist in Rwake has one of the best SLUDGE METAL screams ever.

Seriously. Blended with CT bellowing that band has such an amazing overall sound. Voices of Omens is a damned modern classic.

Agreed whole heartedly. She's also a complete sweet heart, but I still wouldn't want to piss her off hahaha

Dude, I hadn't listened to Rwake in a fucking eon until you mentioned that. Got some on now, and yes. Yes she does.

Also brutal and fucking awesome (and cute as a goddamn button. Fuck I have an uber fanboi nerd-out crush on her....) is Emilie Bresson from Monarch.
Sooo awesome.
