feels like i might have told this story before but back in 2000 or 2001 i bought one of these on musicians friend, returned it within a few days because it didnt sound good with my rig (or just didnt sound good period, ill leave that up to you). after i set up the return the builder CALLED ME AT MY HOUSE and tried to bully me into keeping the pedal. musicians friend gave him my fucking phone number without asking me first. unfuckingbelievable

specifics are a little sketchy now but basically he was taking the approach of "i know so much about guitar tone that i'm gonna try and convince you that you are wrong about what sounds good" condescending fucking tool

rig was a 100 watt marshall plexi RI with a '70 LP custom fwiw

Holy crap that's a great deal on that VT-22. Pretty sure they're 100 watts. I paid $100 more for mine and I still feel like I got a good deal even though it was one of the later ones and needed a little work. Definitely worth checking out.
