I would actually be much more interested in a standalone Blackhole than any of their other offerings. I've had an H9 in the past, I hated the lack of control, I couldn't stand the app, and I pretty much exclusively used the Blackhole (and sometime Undulator) modes. Also, $279 sounds expensive for one algorithm, but you are also buying a piece of hardware and most comparable devices cost around the same (Meris Mercury 7 is $299) :idk:

in isolation that has some appeal. Yo Eventide, how much for an H9 with physical controls?

Given the price it is now, I think that an H9 in a factor case is out of the question. They'd have to price a factormax at like $800. :whateva:

yep. though, if they re-jigged it so you could stack multiple algos, it might actually be worth that :idk: but then they'd have to price it at $1800 :hobbes:

Tycho suggested it might be an Ursa Major SST-282 tribute. That rack was a multi-tap unit, which would explain the function of the sequencer. I'm thinking it will be like an expanded version of the Cloud algorithm, with enhanced rhythmic capabilities.

I stupidly watched a few more Polybrute demos and now I want one
I'm absolutely not in the market for another synth and would have to sell my Matriarch to get it, though. So that's not happening. But it does sound good and looks really fun to play with all the mod options, controls, and the patch morphing

You’re kind of talking about the end of the Eclipse’s product life. When they cannot reasonably keep those in production because of parts becoming obsolete and unavailable they will trickle down the H9000’s ARM porting of the old algorithm to a similar stereo unit. I could be wrong but I expect that to precede the Factor/H9 refresh.

Although, hmm, I haven’t paid fine attention to the details on the Black Hole. Have they mentioned the processor architecture? This could have been a good test product for seeing what could be done with a less powerful ARM system.

I hope Black Hole is a huge hit for them so we might see Space prices drop down into the mid $200s so I could finally snag one. They should release a Crystals pedal to start getting PF down, too.

Just been emailing with him and he told me the price and that I could get one in October when he had made the first batch. If you want in I'd just send a email. :thumb:
