You're not the first person to say so, and the funny thing is, I haven't read many of his books or anything....
i think it's the way yall shade the limbs.
I think so too. It makes everything look like it lit by firelight or something.

Yep. Watercolor with ink over the top. There's a ton more on my webpage in my sig. . .

I'm trying to figure out if it's watercolor or prisma/ad markers. Either way, terrific work.
And now I'm embarrassed. I'm new here, so please be gentle.

Recent ink/digital color I did. Seeing other replies here really makes me want to learn how to screenprint. Is it very hard?

King Diamonds are a girl's best friend
A joke thing I did up for a friend. She likes puns and metal.
And finally, a thing I'm slowly working on:

Yeah, they are watercolors. With ink over the top. Thanks!
Whoa! I like that "Thing" picture!
The "mushroom" one is cool too. Looks like a potential cover for a sci-fi book?

Thanks! I did it as a poster for a show that my band is putting on, and made it a regular piece thing before adding all the info. The thing is I really like how I formatted it at 10x18, but I ended up making the fliers to fit 11x17s so it's easier/cheaper to print. I ended up doing a b/w version so it's cheaper as well.

work in progress. Doing art for a band that's loosely themed around stories from the book 'bury my heart at wounded knee'. Trying to illustrate generic looking 'might be native american' stuff without out and out stealing someone else's culture and symbols.
