Hmm, Germans have good wine, bread and sausage too, if you really want to cry come over to The Netherlands, we have none of it.
That said we do have Surinam and Indonesian food, in fact a lot of the non domestic kitchens over here are at least decent to pretty good, better than in any other country I visited so far, and we have some incredibly awesome Micro Breweries.

Yep, but these are really not the same as French ones, so it didn't matter. What's to compare really?
