Yes - a majority of those rarer DBA that have popped up recently have failed to sell, or have relisted for much less, and still even then, are still kicking around - also WTF is thisDRodriguez wrote:But, like the DBA stuff, you'll see them go down in price again and see some for sale you wouldn't have before. Like that Death By Audio Speaker Ripper. Even though no one met the reserve.

This is the first version of DBA Fuzz War, has serial number #63. The pedal's circuitry is an interesting topic to discuss, as the first DBA pedals were made not so technically correct, maybe that's one of the reasons of the incredible and unique sounds their pedals are able to produce. This one is not an exclusion, the circuit of the pedal has some problems, f.e. Gain potentiometer has a current on it constantly and because of that it begins to crackle after a while. Originally it is a trimpot, but this particular pedal was modded to put it on the pedal's front to have an instant gain control. It's already crackling. But it makes what it should do, you can set the gain and leave it there. The other mod is a Mid-frequencies amount control (sort of ParametricEQ built in), it's very handy as you can get so many cool sounds now combining the Gain, Tone and this new Mid-freq knobs! Also the pedal is a bit noisy (a certain amount of hiss is always present when the pedal is on), it's originally like that so it's not the bug of this pedal, it's an original feature of first revision of DBA Fuzz War. By the way, the second revision is whole other pedal and can't produce the sounds of the first revision. Power it only with a separate transformer power supply (impulse power supply will give you an enormous amount of hiss and noise). Battery-power option is also here, the pedal powers well and battery lasts long. To conclude, this pedal is a beast you have to learn how to deal with but overall it is very cool, has a DBA signature sound and you'll love it, I'm sure!
