From the interviews I've read alot of it was how the songs were recorded like using old dirty cassette recorders and such as
well as lots and lots of reverb probably from the amplifiers.

i have read about that too, but I've seen a few good quality live videos of them, mainly off of Pitchfork, and their live sound is just as crazy as their studio sound, I've also seen a couple show vids on youtube and I know I see at least a few pedals near each of the guitarists' feet.

I love Women. Seriously.

Really sad they don't make music anymore. :(

Casey Driessen's board, as of his current tour. Questionable as some of his work might be, he's an amazing fiddle player and his work with Sparrow Quartet cannot be denied.

When was that pic of Brian's board taken? Looks like his older board, this is what I saw when I saw him last month:

Looks like the dude from Ringo Deatstarr got some more pedals!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8ARUweL ... re=related

from this vid he's now got a devi neverdrive and shoegaze and an algal bloom!
along with what looks like a boss ps-2,boss equalizer,Rat and a few others.

I wonder what he's getting his reverb from :idk: since I don't see the holy grail
on there.
